Clean, Partially friendly, Rooms TOO SMALL, NO fridge, NO Microwave, NO Laundry facilities (send you 11 miles away), Same breakfast 3 days in a row.
We were in town for a Baseball Tournament and stayed at this Hotel for 4 nights. Everything was good until the last night. We finished our last game at about 8:30 and by the time we got back to the hotel, & kids all cleaned up it was about 10pm. We as a team decided to get Pizza and meet in the Breakfast area. At 10:45 we were approached by the hotel staff telling us that all the kids had to be in their rooms by 11pm. We were still waiting for our Pizza to arrive. I asked them "Does that include my child that was sitting next to me?" The answer was YES! We exchanged words and finally the Hotel Manager was called in. When she came in she told us that we could stay but if we get too loud she would have to SEND US ALL TO OUR ROOMS. She said it as if we were her children. There was 12 adults in the area and approx. 10 kids. I had a personal conversation with the manager about their rules and she listened but I know she could care less about my suggestion and wasn't going to do anything about it. She just kept saying "I have to have a Blanket rule. I can't pick and choose who can and can't stay." All I was suggestion was to allow kids to stay if their parents are with them. If in Cincy I will NOT stay at this hotel. If we go to this Tourney again next year and this is our "team" hotel, I will find somewhere else to stay. I would not recommend it to anyone! What a shame for...
Read moreI am actually a local resident, and live near this hotel. We decided to book a room with our children, so they could have a night away from home and swim. After researching several hotels in the area to ensure the pool was open, and that we could get connecting rooms for our children, my sister and I decided to book this one.
I booked 2 hours before check in and was told that we would have connecting rooms. Upon my sister's arrival she was on a completely different floor. I called down to the front desk and spoke with Cassie. She was less than helpful, and not very pleasant at all. She let me know they had no connecting rooms, or even any rooms that were next to each other...which I find hard to believe since there were maybe 10 cars in the parking lot. I sat on hold with her for nearly 10 minutes, and she finally found a room down the hall for my sister to move to. When my sister went down to get her room key changed, she was pretty rude to her too. Better than a completely different floor, but the ONLY reason we booked this hotel was because we were told we would have connecting rooms.
We visited the pool while we were there, which was also another huge reason we were even staying in a hotel. Cassie let us know there were towels in the cabinet, and let us in. There were no towels at all, except for a huge bin of dirty ones, and the room the pool is in was freezing. To the extent that it made it unenjoyable.
Horrible, horrible, stay. Very unimpressed. There are so many options in the area. Stay...
Read moreWe stay at the Hampton Inn EVERY time we come to Cincinnati Eastgate. There’s been two times that we haven’t, and that was many years ago. We have family in Amelia. My dad went down to fix a leak, but when he got down there he learned that his 95 year old dad was in a car accident. He was checking-in at the hotel when he got the call to go to the hospital cause they that he was going to pass. He didn’t. The lady at the front desk I guess took note of that. My grandpa did pass away eventually, and when we went down there for the funeral we had a wonderful surprise. Our 2 night stay was paid for. We thought it was a family member that paid for it, but no. The same lady who heard that call comped our room for us. It was truly a blessing. She was a very sweet lady. I feel bad though cause I don’t remember her name. The hotel is modern, comfortable, clean, friendly staff, and very hospitable. Of course it has the little dinky breakfast like all hotels have these days. They are building a Home2 Suites by Hilton in front of the Hampton, so the parking lot is messed up a little with the construction. Location is fantastic. It’s in the heart of Eastegate, and not far from Amelia and Batavia. I saw someone mention having trouble getting to the hotel. It is kind of hiding between meijer’s and some woods, but GPS will get you there👍 We will be forever greatful for that stay, and we will always stay at...
