I will never buy from Lazy Boy again. My mom had an extended warranty on a lift recliner that we bought from there. The chair stopped working. I filed a claim with that extended warranty company. After them coming out three different times and not being able to figure out what was wrong with the chair, It still took another month for them to approve a replacement chair and get it delivered. It took us two months to get a chair that my mother who has Alzheimerās sleeps in every night. We had to borrow a chair from the nursing home which was not comfortable at all and she could not sleep well at all. For two months I tried to get this point across to them and got nowhere. Apparently the extended warranty company contracts their service out to another company, so those two companies just kept pushing me back-and-forth onto each other saying that they were the ones that I needed to talk to . Finally when someone at that company decided to help me and contact Lazy Boy themselves to bypass all the red tape, I did have a good experience with Bill at the Northgate Lazy Boy, which is the one that they sent me to. But that Lazy Boy was 45 minutes away when there was one five minutes down the road from me. So Bill had everything transferred over to them so that it wouldnāt be so inconvenient for me . Bill was going to get the furniture rushed out within a few days once it was ordered. But when It got sent over to Eastgate and I went there to set up the delivery time they did not care about my situation at all. They Did not try to rush anythingās for me like obviously could be done, because Bill was going to do it . So I am supposed to be receiving this chair on September 25, two months after the first visit by the technician on July 25. If I had not called and kept calling I probably still would not have an answer. And I did not want to give them even one star but this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdated, see below. Had 2 chairs delivered. Neither felt like what we had purchased, one was also darker colored. When asking to exchange them the store manager , Joe, said that they are exactly the same as what was on the floor and that there was absolutely no difference in the chairs. He said it was in our minds. He never even asked for the pictures that I had to show the color comparison to the floor model showing the difference. Finally, reluctantly he did offer to swap them out for the USED floor models that we liked when we were in the store. But no compensation for the $129 delivery fee nor a discount for a used piece of furniture and oh yeah, we have to bring them back. Wait what? NO, we want replacements or a store credit to stay happy customer s. Well after more argument, we are supposedly getting one replacement as it seems to be impossible for them to not be right. I understand that you are Lazy Boy and I am only a customer, but all we want is to be taken care of when there is an issue. They had not been sat in even when we asked for the exchange. It is all " in our minds." Nice managing skills there.
Update: over 24 hours later with no call back from store manager to arrange his promised pick swap out of the furniture. Karen, the regional or district manager was able to work things out. Thank you for the assistance with this matter. I have changed my review to a 2 star from a 1 because even tho the store MANAGER DID NOTHING after he said he would, the regional/district manager was able to take care of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI purchased a chair at Lazy Boy on January 8th during their sale. It was an expensive chair, and I placed a deposit of $727. I was told the chair would be delivered in March. No chair in Marchā¦no chair in Aprilā¦no chair in May. I was given the same reason, supply chain issues. In June, I called againā¦same reason and they could not give me a delivery date. I decided to cancel the order and I was informed there would be a restocking charge for a chair they cannot deliver. To say the least, I was furious.
Now it gets interesting. The 3rd week in June, they call meā¦the chair is in and want to schedule a delivery date. We agreed on the date of July 5th and I paid the remainder of the balance of $1700. On July 4, the manager of the store called me and told me they cannot find the chair! He said they have no idea where it is or if it even existed. I stated I wanted to talk to his manager. He agreed and said he would call within a week. Now over a month laterā¦no call.
This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Keep in mind, they wanted to charge me a restocking fee for a chair that didnāt exist! I would avoid Lazy Boy and their...
