Spikes Beach Grill — Restaurant in Warsaw

We were at spikes to celebrate grandsons 19th Birthday this evening. There were 7 of us, arriving at 7:15 had to wait 35 minutes for a table, waited over an hour on our food. I had shrimp tacos, menu said gulf shrimp, it was small pieces of shrimp maybe one gulf shrimp divided between 3 tacos. No cilantro, basically tasteless. Daughter got fish tacos, cold and smelled very fishy, she could not eat them sent them back for the shrimp tacos, which she never got, we had finished and paid the bill, she told them to keep them. My husband got a clam basket, so much breading he couldn't taste clam at all. The kids were ok with their food except the extra long wait, absolutely ridiculous. Son-in-laws brisket sandwich was cold.We will not be going back to spikes. Terribly food and one should not have to wait for over an hour for your food, especially while setting at an uncomfortable picnic table. Very...

Overall a negative, but not all of it. Sushi was top notch but the soy sauce came in a plastic to go cup. Not sure what is up with that. Had artichoke dip as an appetizer, it was okay. The two things that really turned me off was the clam strips I ordered were a pile of rock hard remnants of clams that contained a raw ball of breading in the center. They were overcooked to the point you could snap them in half. It's pretty hard to screw up fried seafood so I have no idea how bad the kitchen staff can be if they can screw that up.

The biggest complaint is the bartender/waiter. Asked how my meal was and ignored the answer. No apologies, didn't care. He made 15% because otherwise he was adequate. I usually tip...

Atmosphere was fun and the band was great. Service was okay but the food was not good at all. I had a pulled pork sandwich that was 50% fat, my fries were cold and greesy from the sandwich being served on top of them, and the coleslaw tasted like vinager. The pickel and slice of tomato, was all I ate. The server asked if we wanted a boxes and we said no. My husband didn't care for his hamburger but he ate half of it.
