I would not recommend this company. Using Redfin would of been a better choice. I was very annoyed with the entire process, even-though the home selling and purchasing experience should of been a smooth and enjoyable process.
I had picked out my lot and options on my own before contacting Evan to make an offer with the builder. I negotiated with Evan to receive a refund of 1% from the purchase of my new home, since I have already selected the options and the lot before contacting him. After the negotiations were complete he informed me he could not honor our agreement, since the builder provided a 2% sales commission instead of a 3% commission. Evan had the sales manager of the new property negotiate with me directly, instead of going through him. On the sales of my condo I was told I could get full price, if not multiple offers. Evan had a two hour window for my open house and sent an associate, instead of holding the open house himself. I only had three showings that day. I had originally had a 4.5% total commission to be shared by the seller and buyer agent. Two days before listing of my condo Evan asked me to increase the commission to 5% as his market research had found that buying agents were not willing to show a property for a 2% commission as Compass was receiving a 2.5% sales commission. This should of been brought up before the listing of my apartment when I signed the listing agreement a month ahead of time. I was offered an opening offer by a Redfin buyer $5,000 below asking prior to my open house and I felt Evan was working for the buyer instead of representing me as the seller. At the closing of my condo Evan was not present and his assistant had sent the wrong closing time to the title lawyer, so I waited around an hour past my scheduled closing to sign the closing documents. Evan never showed up to my final walk-through for my new property and blamed a scheduling error. Two business days before closing I had already transferred all closing costs and down payment to the title company. The title company notified me that Evan had emailed them to include admin fees for Compass after I had wired my funds. I had to contact him that this was shady business practices and to remove the admin fees. Evan never showed up to my closing day for my new property and just collected his commission. Horrible...

First and foremost, Joe has a great attitude and is really fun and pleasant to be around, which is important when you are spending lots of time looking at places and then going through the more stressful phase of securing the house you want.
He is also incredibly responsive, which is really important and helpful especially if you have never bought before and have tons of questions along the way. Joe answered all of my questions respectfully and thoroughly, even if they weren't in his purvue or were very basic.
Joe was also great with helping us make decisions without being pushy. He helped us narrow down the areas, types of homes and features that we couldn't live with out, which was an ongoing process that we were figuring out as we looked at home. He was the perfect balance of guidance without pushiness.
And finally, when it came to negotiating with the seller, Joe did an excellent job on multiple fronts. We were able to get in slightly below asking price due to some savvy back and forth from Joe, and we also were successful in getting a significant amount of fixes - small and large - done to the house after the inspection, which was not technically required of the seller. (Caveat is that we also had very ammenable sellers, and that will not always be the case! But Joe played an important role in even making those things possible).

Read moreCharles has been an amazing agent to work with. This was my first time shopping a home AND I was coming from out of state on a short deadline during the winter holidays! Before I met Charles, I was pretty sure I was asking for the impossible.
However, Charles and his team took this challenge and ran with it! When I flew in for a long weekend of house hunting, he had an entire itinerary planned out and worked tirelessly to show me tons of properties. He knew a lot about each place we saw, the general neighborhood areas, and the cool things in the surrounding city. I was anxious in the beginning, but he made me feel at ease about the process of looking for my home.
There were plenty of places that I could almost see myself living in, and then to my surprise, I found the home that was better than I could have ever imagined.
We had only weeks to close and the holidays could have caused major delays, but Charles and his team were fantastic about getting the paperwork together, coordinating with everyone else involved, and he was tenacious when it came to getting a fair deal.
Hopefully, I won't need his help again for a long, long time, because I am absolutely in love with my home. But I will happily give the highest praises to this agent. Charles is fantastic and will absolutely take care of your real estate needs.
