I booked a suite with Hopper. When I arrived, Vischi said it was a normal room, despite having the suite available from my booking. He made me cancel my booking and buy the suite on the spot which costed me more than $400 extra. Then the toilet continuously clogged and he did nothing to help us. His solution was to give us a diffident room so he could rent that room out to a different family without making them aware of the issue. Awful stay. Awful service. Awful room.
Due to the reply to this review, I will be a lot more thorough. When my wife and I were arriving to the Travelodge for check-in, we got an email from Wyndham which gave us our booking information and a reservation link. I cannot access the link anymore due to it being expired, however it reflected a Studio Suite. When I went to check in, I was told since I booked through Hopper, I was booked a Standard Queen, despite the Hopper booking, and the email from Wyndham, stating that I got a Studio Suite. In addition, the Suite that we had booked was completely filled up on the booking for the entire month of December, and conveniently, it was booked up to the day we had it, and it was booked the day right after we check out, but allegedly we never booked the room and it was considered available for the dates we were staying there. After talking to Mr. Vische for a while, it was very clear that he was refusing to give us the Suite that we booked, had proof of booking, and had the exact availability for the dates we booked. He would only let us stay in the Standard Queen that he said was booked for us. Then he offered us to “upgrade” to the Suite. I originally declined since it would require me to cancel the Hopper booking, buy a new booking, and pay over $400 extra. But after seeing the unclean, and in disarray, Standard Queen, I decided to “upgrade”. I upgraded because this was the honeymoon I planned in secret for my wife and I wanted her to have the best time, and this room would not have permitted that. While I was “upgrading” Mr. Vische said he could give me a small discount on the room for my hassle, which the discount wouldn’t have affected him since he got more money from me anyways due to making me re- book. After finally getting into the Suite, the toilet wasn’t working. I mentioned this earlier but I’ll dive into it. It would clog if anything more than 2 squares of 1 ply toilet paper was put into it, which makes using the bathroom for females, and taking a dump, incredibly difficult. It also clogged if it was flushed more than 3 times in a few minutes. In addition, every morning we woke up, somehow we had waste sitting in the bowl that wasn’t there when we went to bed. The bathroom continuously smelled bad as well. The final complaint about the bathroom is that I was told to plunge it myself, and given the plunger, and every time I put the plunger in the drain area, it was too small for the area so water would splash out on the toilet itself, the ground, our clothes, and sometimes even hit my face. Through the day time when my wife and I weren’t in the room, Mr. Vische said he had a friend who knows the plumber trade, go into our room and flush the toilet, every time claiming that it worked perfect (expect for one time that it “flushed a little slower, but was fine”). The reason for him having a friend come out, instead of a contracted plumber is because “it was the Holidays” even though this issue began 7 days before Christmas. So, when I say the stay was horrible, the customer service was horrible, and the hospitality was horrible, I mean it. And if you’re curious, I did also ask if there was a price leniency I could get for the stay being bad and I was told that since I got a small discount at the beginning, there was nothing he could do, his hands were completely tied and I needed to continue my stay there without any benefit or help.
The last picture is from when I checked into the Queen and then checked-out so I can upgrade. The upgrade was done on paper to avoid an electronic trail, so I do...
Read morePretty decent stay. Room wasnt completely clean when we came in. We found a knive from breakfast under the table, toliet paper wasnt folded, and my dog found something crunchy on the floor when we first walked in. Fridge was sticky on the inside. But on the bright side there was a fridge and a microwave..... We booked for 2 nights a Friday and Saturday. I was told over the phone the most expensive nightly rate was $109 .... Come to find out we get charged $129 for Saturday night and extra taxes... Was not expecting the extra charges.... Also Saturday morning rolls around....9 am. The maid comes and knocks on the door to tell us check out is at 11!!! We have the 'Do not disturb" sign on the door already..... We were planing on sleeping in. Since were on vacation and thats super rare for me....... Anyways.... 10 am rolls around and guess who back at the door? The maid......we called the front desk to confirm we had the room another night..... They said yes. And they would talk to the maid to leave us alone....well 11 am rolls around... We open the door she tells us its 11am and its check out....... Noon finally rolls around and she comes back pounding on the door... Then proceeds to open the door...but cant cuz of the lock... We open and explain yet again we are staying another night..... So much for sleeping in..... And the good old DO NOT DISTURB sign!!!!!

Read moreIt was disappointing from day one, we booked a free night with points from my mother. The room was supposed to be a Deluxe but was modified down to a regular room without our knowledge and with us not being from the area they probably also relied on our ignorance. When we went to extend our stay was charged the maximum for the room, my mistake and went threw the app to extend the next night for half the price. The room we were moved to was also right beside them remodeling the room beside us we didnt mind it but could see how it could be annoying to another paying full price for the room. Anyway you are charged $20 daily for pet fee and a 1 time $100 deposit that they inspect your room on check out to get back. The first time when we had to move rooms the guy checked our room and had no problems. The last time we went to check out for good the women I figure is his wife inspected our room. Mid inspection while we were loading our car, she and another lady called me over to chastise me over dirt on the bath mat, and hand towel that was simply from drying off and stepping out on to them we wore our slippers in the shower due to the stains so I don't understand why we were treated like children about the towels unless they were trying to keep our deposit until I spoke up about it. The lady should not be working customer service and thinks because you rent a room from her she can get an attitude. Once you stand your ground it's a different story and didn't have a problem getting our cash deposit back. I'm a professional housekeeper that worked for Vacasa for almost 4 years I know the ends and outs of the hospitality a rental should have and complaining to the guests about a towel is very unprofessional! As for the value if you stay during the weekday and get it threw the app it's worth the money but on the weekends and going through the office you are going to be charged the maximum amount...
