Jordan Landing is their worst location. Rude, bad vibe and not going to honor what they promise!
Setup: I've been to all their locations, many many times. I frequent Wise Guys and always get their emails for upcoming events. When a comic that's coming through is not pre-selling tickets very well, they offer "Freebie" events to those that respond early enough with how many are in their party and if there's room, they will email you back confirming you have free admission to the show that night provided your entire party shows up at a designated time prior to the show. I've done this many times and have also paid full price for countless comics I've seen at their various locations...
Scenario: about a month ago, I went through the "freebie" process and got the email confirming I was on the list for the show that night. I show up with my party [one other person] BEFORE the cutoff time they indicated in the email, so far, so good... I go to the counter to gain entrance as per process and am told that is not valid, the capacity is full and if there's room, I can pay full price just before the show start. So I wait, very annoyed in the lobby with a decent-sized group of people in the same boat, all just as annoyed as I was that the agreement would not be honored.
After about a 40 minute wait in the lobby, I'm told I now have the "opportunity" to purchase tickets at full price. I pay because I'm on a date and this was our plan as we'd driven 30 miles and waited already. We get in and find the seating is only about 1/3 full, I was shocked and even more annoyed. The whole place was barely 2/3 full during the performance, so there was PLENTY of extra seating to be had.
On top of all this, the lady at the door had the nerve to be annoyed and treated everyone in the same situation equally bad. This practice will lose you customers fast, especially when you promise something and confirm it via email and then when people show up to claim it, the rug is pulled out from under them. Beware that even when you have email confirmation, it will not be honored at the Jordan Landing location from my experience. This has never happened to me at the Downtown or Ogden locations. Hopefully you guys leave the funny business to the comedians and not the entrance...
Read moreI feel terrible about giving a single star review but it's hard to give anything but that when my waitress Tayler overcharged me for my meal. I ordered wings and a drink. Then 2 minutes later I asked if I could add the fries ($2) to my order. She appeared upset but she took the order. When my wings came out no fries came out with it. I didn't see my waitress for like 20 minutes after my meal which is understandable at a comedy club. So I asked about the fries and she said they were coming and explained that since I added it later that I had to wait. Which I understand but it's fries and who wants fries for dessert? Then when the bill came I noticed that my $2 side fries ended up being the $5 fry basket. I didn't want to be a putz and fight it in the middle of a comedy routine so I paid it with a $20 bill and my friends paid for their meals with a card. They both got their reciepts and cards back and I got nothing. 20 minutes later my waitress came back and started to collect the signed copies of receipts and I asked if I was going to get change she gave me an empty look and came back with my change 5 minutes later with no final receipt. I noticed the other waitresses quietly asking other patrons if they would like like change back for their cash transactions. I wasn't asked that and hadn't I asked for my money I wouldnt have gotten any money back. It's pretty tacky to assume that you deserve a 20+ percent tip and not allow the patron to decide. Especially since I was overcharged $3 bucks for dessert fries.
Other than that I will continue to go back to the club but I won't order food or pay with cash. Also I would say don't expect much comedy from comedy movie legends they leave much to be desired. Cool to see them in person though.
The atmosphere of the club 5 stars Rob Schneider 3 stars Pauly shore 1 star Marcus...
Read more2 years later I was giving wise guys another chance however there customer service could not be father from insensitive. As I had bought 2 tickets for tonight’s Eddie Griffin show a month ago. When I thought I was healthy and would have no reason to not attend unfortunately this past Monday I had surgery and am not able to attend tonight. I called to wise guys to see what I could do. I explained the situation and asked if they could refund one ticket. With no remorse whatsoever I was told now I’ll Sales are final and there are no refunds. If this is how they have to keep their money to stay open when people have medical emergencies if they have to take care of and they just lose our money not even offered a free show for a later time when I wished him the best of luck. I would not recommend going to wiseguys a Jordan Landing a customer service is just not there. I today’s word of you don’t have the service eventually You will fall apart. #As long as they have there money they don’t care about you.
They need to put a sign up to make it easier to find with the construction. The comedians need to have new material the one guy has had the same exact show for the last four almost five months that...
