Bad news: We used to have Office Max, & Circuit City among others. This is the best computer & office related retail store in all of Wichita because we just don't have any competition. Best Buy, Walmart and Target still offer some of what this store has but does not compare to over all selection and variety. ONLY 2 bummers about this store really.
You have to special order anything to do with a thermal/receipt printer? Wuh? SMH. Meh.
Prices are deffinitely up there in comparison to other locations but you just can't find all this offie and computer related goodness in one place, in Wichita.
Good news: This is the best computer & office related retail store in all of Wichita! Don't waste your time at Walmart, Sams Club (uhhh... Walmart?), Target or other smaller, and LAMER stores that advertise they have what this store does because they don't! Office Depot has all your office, printer, desktop computer, laptop & similar needs. Especially paper, they have the best selection of quality and speciality paper in a retail, "walk-in and get it!" store in a 250 mile radius.
Nice, friendly staff. Helpful and knowledgeable if you count getting directions through the super easy to search isle setup (you really shouldn't have to ask where anything is just walk toward the back in a straight line, glancing to your lef and right. You'll see it all as you pass it).
Thanks for hanging in the Office Depot! Get some dang darned thermal/receipt printers on the sales floor please...
Read moreNot good at all. I have started a new business. I'm new to all of this and was interested in business cards. I also thought I would look at other marketing ideas that are available there. Well I asked how much for the cards and she got the book and answered my question then walked away and started working on something she was doing before. I asked her another question on cards and she couldn't answer that question and acted as if I was bothering her. I then asked if there was any literature on other services they offer she said she didn't know where any was and she would have to look for it but I could go online and see it. I was in the store for this information to help me do a better job and if I were managing that store I would have told her you could of stayed least tried to sell business card paper that the customer could do by themselves. I told the manager of my experience and that's only the second time in my life I did that. My business is all of my hard work and a lot of my future in dependant on this working out. I was so shocked at her lack of knowledge and desire to do her job that I don't think I'll ever purchase anything from here online or in the store ever again. Very poor...
Read moreI’m the Director of Sales of a well known locally owned and operated retail store in Wichita Ks. Until now, we have used Office Depot on Kellogg and Dugan for a long list of miscellaneous supplies , and it’s been a source for quick printing needs , price displays , spec cards , and more. Until now….. The Sales Associate that works the printing desk, has the social skills of a wet towel. Outside of the obvious one gear, he has on full display, he mumbles, he’s condescending, and does his best to let you know that you, the customer, have inconvenienced him. Honestly, I’m not sure how he flies under the radar, having only had the misfortune of being “helped” by him twice, I had hoped that last time , my read was wrong , but to my dismay, I was right. Same rude sloth, different day. I would hire someone from the Taliban before this dark cloud, disguised as an angry post adolescent a hole , manned any location that SERVED our community and our honored guests. We will drive across town to your competitor now , here and in all markets across Kansas. Thank Tanner, Office Depot, he truly cares to be there....
