Big time outdated, especially the bathrooms. Not super clean, and with pretty much non existent daily cleaning (including changing the towels) - or alternatively it's so bleached when you move in, that need to keep doors and windows open for a while. Smoking area really close to the pool so the odour penetrates everywhere. Great location basically next to the most wonderful beach - but a short drive if going to the boardwalk (or would be ~1hr walk).

Stayed in July 2020. Everything was great. Rooms were clean pool was clean. They really took that part seriously and was appreciated. Staff was super friendly. We had a corner suite with a street view. But then came the beautiful sunset we could watch from the deck right outside our room. Beach is right there on the dead end street. Perfect for my 3 kids and I. I will definitely stay again this summer 2021 and have already recommended it to friends.

I travel extensively but usually stay in higher end chain hotels. This little mom and pop motel is very clean and nice. The owners are very friendly and close to the beach. Only issue is the parking spaces could stand to be 1-2' wider. Will stay here again

Our family was having a reunion/birthday party and we booked about 18 rooms! The owner, Marion, was amazing to work with! When we originally booked in January or February(?) the world was normal. Unfortunately there was a pandemic declared mid March. Marion kept us up to date. I rarely needed to reach out to her because she kept me current on everything happening in Wildwood. She made it very clear she would make sure our stay was perfect and for me not too worry about anything! She came through 100%. Her and her husband, Mark, made sure the entire family was taken care of the whole time. Always available for anything we needed. We even had a few issues through the nights with a clogged toilet and some people who locked themselves out in the middle of the night - taken care of promptly. Also, towards the end of our stay, we ran out of ketchup and he even gave us some from his own fridge. That type of service is unheard of these days in Wildwood or almost anywhere. I can’t say enough great things about them! Now to the rooms and hotel itself. The hotel is immaculate! Beautifully updated. Beds are very comfortable. The cleaning girls were so wonderful. They made our beds everyday, refreshed our towels, and soaps, and even gave us a plug in air freshener. They were friendly and super sweet! The owner, Mark, was constantly keeping up with vacuuming sand, hosing things down, and washing all the tables and chairs throughout the day. Our room was beautiful (All of them were). Even the tiles and the corners of the bathroom was pristine (you know you check too). The small touches in the room made it very welcoming and homelike. I literally could go on and on. I also love the fact the the floors are tiled which are also super clean (unlike a lot of hotels with rugs in Wildwood). There’s a wonderful little covered area with picnic tables and patio chairs (they call it the carport). This is where we had our party. We were completely cool and protected from the sun. I could go on and on. Did I mention you are steps away from the beach??? Seriously, the water is about 5 minutes walk from your hotel room! No streets to cross or anything (for those of you with little kids)! If you are looking for a place where you’ll feel like family, the rooms are updated and extremely clean, and the ocean is minutes away walking, then this is your next vacation spot! We will definately be returning! Thanks again...

Planned a nostalgia trip to Wildwood Crest for my sister who is not in great health and it has been many years since we were in Wildwood. Arrived and checked into our originally booked motel only to find out they placed us on the 3rd floor, then found out they had no elevator; my sister who is in poor health and was not able to walk up the 3 flights of steps. Although they were kind about it, they had no 1st floor suites and we should go try and find another place to stay. I can only say divine intervention led us to the Blue Marlin (it looked clean and available). Then I went in and Marion at the front desk was truly wonderful. Her smile just made me feel better right then. I was so afraid we would have to leave and drive back to PA without staying. Marion took very good care of us. Finding a room on the first floor, close parking and even helped us take luggage to our room. We were so happy with our stay...got to know all the friendly staff from the owners to the housekeeping and maintenance. They were all very kind and friendly. Marion would greet us every time we returned from somewhere and have great suggestions for dining out. I can't thank you enough, Mike, Marion, Gail, Negri (?), and Bill. Mike and Marion are very fussy with their hotel and I, as a guest am also very fussy....I would not have stayed there if it weren't taken care of. I have never met such nice people at any hotel. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you all so very much for giving us a...

We have spent many family vacations in Wildwood Crest and honestly we’re very excited for our trip. This would've been our first stay at The Blue Marlin Resort. Unfortunately my dad had a medical emergency and could not make the trip. I tried reaching out to the owner via email and a phone call to explain the situation and asked to please allow us to either reschedule for a different time or refund us the money. The answer was NO. We were honestly so disappointed with the answer. They even called my dad the day of check in to ask if he would still be coming down. Again, he explained to them the situation. They said they would reach out to the owner; no reply or call back. Since we already had paid for both rooms, my fiancé and I decided to go for one night only. The location was great. Very close to the beach. The room was clean. The beds were small (doubles) but that didn’t bother us. But we did feel like we got put in the corner. Outside our window was a bright light that kept us up all night long. I wish we had a curtain to pull. The air conditioner in our room made such a loud rumbling sound every time it kicked in. Even our parking spot was im a horrible location. Every time we pulled in and out we had to jump the curb (parking 108). Overall, we were just very disappointed. It’s not okay to spend over $1000.00 for basically a one night stay. I never expected this to be our experience especially after reading through...
