Pyramid Resort Motel — Hotel in Wildwood Crest

So my family of five had been occupants of this establishment for 6 years and found it to be the kind of place that we’d want to return to, year after year, despite the male owner’s sour attitude. Our wives hit it off and our kids played in the pool together. Not until the 6th and final year, after noticing that friends who we met there no longer wanted to stay there or were now “banned” from the establishment, did we realize what a disturbed person that he was. The owner acted as though once he got your money, you were totally under his control. He would walk by complaining about every little thing, in subtle ways not even straightforward (which I would have respected more) and imposed a 9pm curfew (wanted everyone in their rooms) or else he would walk by every 15 minutes and complain or yell out “shhhhh” from his upper level apartment. It’s a vacation, not a convention. A little loosening up and maybe enjoying a little air yourself, at night, might have been a good thing for this man. It got so bad that on our last night there he actually called the police on us for laughing too loud outside of the rooms at a table playing a table game with another couple and our kids. He disrespected my wife, told me to control her and took off running when I jumped up out of my chair and chased him to his little office in the front. Next thing I know the cops were knocking on my door to the room. A real POS move. We have them business for 6 straight years, recommended the place to others and even had friends and family join us there. Suffice it to say that I will never step foot on that property again. I planned this trip last minute for my grandchildren daughter inlaw and myself I was going to be staying at a different hotel, but when I increased the stay by a day the Pyramid became available, and I was glad as I have stayed there previously. So I booked the four night stay for 5 people ages 9,8,3, and two adults for 2 queen size beds, and that is what was on my reservation and what I paid for. A relative wanted to come for a day and I told them to see if they had any availability and if not we would find a place if need be. They went to the office and my relative rented a room and came to say good night and was upset cause the owner of the hotel bad mouthed me and she was frustrated cause she didn't know how to respond. Which is morally wrong and not professional. So they put us in a room with 2 full size beds and it was very uncomfortable and we did not have an enjoyable stay. Yes the rooms where clean but they where not truthful about the rental agreement. And to top it off a refund for the difference in the bed size should of been given as I reserved to queen size beds, but to say things and degrade others is so unprofessional and we will never be renting there again nor recommending the Pyramid its a shame that the owner of the facility behaved in the manner that they did for this was such an ...

First I’d like to say great room. Nice pool and we had a great time until checkout. I did not realize check out was at 10am. I assumed it was 11am but was wrong. I had set up a 30 minute wave runner excursion at 9:30 and thought I would be back in plenty of time to check out. My wife and 5 year old son would wait at the pool until I got back and then planned on checking out. 10am came and the owner took it upon herself to shout to my wife, who was in the pool area surrounded by other guests and people sitting in the patio area that she had to immediately get all her stuff out of the room and leave because it was 10:05am and checkout was at 10. My wife was completely embarrassed and asked the owner why she would embarrass her that way. She explained that I had thought checkout was 11am and offered to pay for the extra hour. They said no and told her to get her stuff out now. My wife is pretty tough but by this time she started to cry from the embarrassment. All I said to the owners husband was how hard would it be to just have some courtesy and walk up to my wife and discreetly tell her she had to get her stuff?
