My son and I just swung by for a night this week as we needed a place to crash in the area. Five stars overall. No Cons, but some things to be aware of
Pros: Owner/staff was very nice and informative about the hotel amenities and surrounding area. Room was clean and ready on time. Offered one night stay in a summer season (most places want a week) Room was perfect for what we needed (two guys crashing on a road trip) Pool and amenities seemed well maintained - very good for a family. Slightly geared towards younger kids as they had a very cute little playground area as well. Max was 2 stories so good for anyone with issues climbing stairs - not far to go! Did not look for an elevator.
Definitely nothing "wrong" with the place that we could see - just be aware of the following: Definitely a traditional motel where rooms are small so if you are living here for a few days+ be prepared to take advantage of the outdoor shared living spaces, which were well organized. Regular vacationers know the ropes (hooks/clothespins for hanging bathing suits and towels from railings, shared grilling amenities, etc.). Sinks were smaller than hoped, but manageable. So if you have a teen daughter she will need her own room to store her makeup and hair supplies :-) Not much in walking distance / a little further from the activity of the Wildwood boardwalk then i would have liked, but literally just a mile or so down the road from...
Read moreRooms were nice and clean. Would have really enjoyed my stay but unfortunately we had some rude people from NYC poolside who insisted on bringing out speakers to poolside and the barbecue area even though it clearly stated no loud music. Had to leave to pool since the music was out of control and I was told by management that they would address that and the drinking. The next day when I went out they again had a loud speaker in the grill area and rather than putting a speaker by the pool they left their room door open with music spilling out to the pool so I didn't bother wasting my time there. I don't think I will be returning since it ruined my 2 days of what would have been a nice time. Management should have thrown them out once they didn't respect the first warning but I guess the rental money was more important sadly. This nonsense does not belong at any motel where people spend their hard earned money. I think you should compensate ALL guests not just myself who were inconvenienced by rude individuals and childish behavior. Apologizing doesn't fix what happened to all who were there for Labor day...
Read moreBeen coming here with my family for years and years and every year been great, that is apart from this year. With how the pandemic affected everything, everyone couldn't wait to return and let loose but this time around sadly the only thing that bummed everyone down was being told no music at all during our stay. We usually play music outside but not blasting either for respect of everyone else and during the afternoon so it doesn't disrupt anyone resting but this time around everyone was told no music at all played outside. My family respected this but it was our first time in the past 5+ years we been coming to be told no music at all while the neighbors next to part of our family opened their door and was blasting music till past 1am and slight smell of cigarettes tho we are in a none-smoking area but I believe management delt with them accordingly in the smoking aspect. Otherwise, our 4th of July weekend this year was okay. Hopefully next year those family members who were bummed the most will still return and give things another shot but here to next year as things slowly returns to normal. -The...
