Quarterdeck Motel — Hotel in Wildwood

DO NOT STAY HERE - FILTHY!! The one star is for the location - yes it is close to the beach and in a good location between 2 piers. Is it worth it? ABSOLUTELY NOT! DON"T STAY HERE unless you are prepared to clean your own room before putting any of your stuff in there. I've just seen the review about bed bugs but there weren't any, I checked that before we even put any of our things in the room. I won't describe the bathroom -just bring your Clorox wipes if you plan on using this place. The refrigerator was unusable it was so disgusting. There was hair on the blankets and sheets and stains on the towels. I bring all of that myself to any place but it just was so nasty we slept on top of our blanket and folded it over us. DO NOT GO IN THE POOL OR HOT TUB.. My kids of course wanted to be in the pool so I spent some time skimming out what I could but I don't think the filter was on and if it was, I'm sure it's clogged and dirty like the rest of the place. I made the kids get out. You can tell that the pool hasn't been cleaned in who knows how long. I know this is a "motel" but for $600 for two nights, I'd rather sleep in my car. I didn't have any issues with the guy at the desk but there were two other couples there that seemed to be having a big issue with him. One older lady has been staying at this place for 20 years, he was giving her such a hard time about check in, I felt bad for her. She asked if someone was still the owner and the man responded yes, do you think I care if you tell him? WOW - she's an older woman and you were extremely rude to her. The other couple I heard having a hard time but that was over early check in that apparently they were told over the phone it was ok but when they got there it wasn't. I know this is a long review that can be summed up with DO NOT STAY HERE IT IS FILTHY but I wanted to post some of why I say don't stay here. Do you want to sleep with someone else's hair on the linens? Dry off with a stained and dirty towel? Keep your shoes on because you don't want to touch a floor? Then this would be the place for you.. however, if you require very simple things like actually clean linens and a clean bathroom stay away...

Our first day here was a disaster! For starters we had to wait over an hour to check in our room because the room was not finished being clean. Once settling into room 312 I noticed how filthy the floors were. The bottom of my feet were black as the Ace of Spades. I went to the desk with my complaint only to find a pale of water with some type of cleanser and mop on the second floor that was left for me that I used to mop my own floor with. Yes, you read this right.... I mopped my own room floor only because I wanted to make sure it was cleaned properly. That mop water was even black and I took a picture of it so you all call see what this hotel considers clean. That following morning my family and I went to shower only to find that the water was scorching hot and could not be cooled down what so ever. We went to the office with this complaint only to be moved to room 106 that was reviewed previously for bed bugs. The management does not care about their guests because my husband noticed that room 312 was given out the following day after we were moved. Some guests were telling us that they've been coming to this motel for over 40 years and ever since it has been taken over by new management it has gone down big-time. I could go on and on with this review but I have more better things to do with my time then to give anymore feedback on this dump. I will never ever recommend this place to ANYONE nor will I ever go back to visit a place that's supposed to be family oriented like Wildwood again. It was the worst...

Where to even begin. From first entering the room I said " THIS ROOM SMELLS LIKE 💩!"

Then I noticed the T.V on the wall. Looked the same width as the microwave.

Seemed to be a cross between a flat screen T.V & an old school 1990's bubble RCA.

Was happy to see the remote control came with batteries, however... it did not come with a battery cover.

Played hide & go seek with the batteries once or twice. 3 times if you count the time the remote fell on the floor and the batteries went flying.

The AC was working. Blowing out cold air . Not cold enough to hide the musty MOLD SMELL.

Bathroom ceiling was dirty. Def a tad bit moldy.

Around 900$ from Thursday til Sunday check out.

Definitely not worth the money. Room service was a " would you like fresh towels and hey, we will change ya garbage if you like?"

Biggest let down was the wifi. Have fun trying to set up a computer or a gaming system.

My ps5 had 1 bar signal and tried connecting over and over again. Here and there I would get to casually enjoy 10 minutes of a Netflix movie before it kept buffering.

The plug sockets were loose with whatever we plugged in.

The bedding looked as if it came from the Titanic.

The best thing about that motel was driving out of that parking lot and waving 👋

Only pro about that place to me was this.

#1 you can swim any hour of the day. No limit and even if there was... nobody is monitoring.

#2 it is almost on the boardwalk.

In my honest opinion. Save ya $ and go...
