Let me first say that the head manager is super nice and tried to resolve the issue and also a waitress was caught in the crossfire by me unnecessarily so I apologize to her! However, the hostess and server manager were horrible. They were so wrong and did not once apologize. We were staying at the hotel so decided to hit up the restaurant which is not owned by them but attached to their building. We walked in to pretty loud music but were fine with that and went directly to the hostess stand to wait our turn. We were sat and she didn’t even say anything really. I said thank you and received no response. Still cool. We sat there for about 20 minutes then were like okay we see the servers and hostess walking around and we haven’t been acknowledged once. It was a packed night because we were there for a basketball tournament which is why we waited patiently at first. I go to the stand as she is sitting a family right next to our table. I look over and my husband is motioning to me. They immediately have a server. So now we’re upset. So yes I start asking how is that with a raised voice. As I’m asking the waitress, the hostess now brings that family over plates and utensils. We were given nothing and she only had enough for their table. At this point, my emotions were absolutely high and I requested the manager. The server manager immediately walks over with a nasty attitude telling me that I won’t be yelling at his staff instead of trying to figure out what exactly happened. So now the argument continues. The family that was sat and served immediately looked completely different from my family. The mother of the family came over to me apologizing and saying how wrong this was. Yet the hostess nor the server manager could see anything wrong with their actions. I am an AD and customer service is important regardless of the situation. An admittance of their wrong immediately would have resolved the whole situation instead of acting like nothing happened. On top of that, the server manager called us entitled because I said it seemed racist. Toward the end of the conversation with the head manager and server manager I apologized and I should not have because the server manager was undeserving! I definitely take that back. He was extremely arrogant and proved my point. To the head manager, you seem to be a great guy but you definitely need...

The 1 star
Saturday August 16th we arrived for breakfast at 10:15 am. We ordered iced coffee and the gentleman serving us asked, is that just coffee over ice? Me and my wife looked at each other and thought that would be terrible. We were correct, it was watered down coffee. We asked if we could substitute home fries for fruit and he simply said “no” without offering us an item that would be an up charge or any other option. The chocolate milk and lemonade came out in 4 oz cups and we figured there were no refills because he didn’t come back once to ask us if we would like more to drink. He missed our son’s omelette order, so we waited at least 15 minutes for that to come out.
The 5 star
Around 1045 am our waiter disappeared and we were blessed with a new waitress, when we told her about the previous waiter, the hot coffee on ice, the not checking on our drink situation and the missing omelette, she apologized and was so sweet in a genuine way to us for the rest of our meal. She asked if the kids needed refills and we told her we didn’t know they offered refills. She then at the very end sent us with cold brew iced offer and we were surprised because we received $14 worth of watered down iced coffees when they served cold brew.
Due to how excellent the second waitress was I was inclined to change my 1 star review to a 5 star review but the waitress knew about how terrible the first waiter was and someone should look into it so that others do not receive this treatment.
We ordered the sausage breakfast burrito, french toast, and a couple of omelets and all of the food was tasty and...
Read moreI don't even know where to begin. This is not the Bolero restaurant of my youth. I normally don't give bad reviews but I'm seriously making an exception. Let me start with the good stuff first. Parking was available free of charge for this restaurant in the middle of Wildwood. That's awesome. No wait to be seated. Should have been a clue but was nice. Our waitress was super nice but seriously in over her head. People were leaving. It wasn't packed but it took forever for everything. Come to find out after asking that the waitress were not only doing their job but also doing jobs that typically kitchen staff jobs. If your waitress is not seen for 20 minutes it's a problem but then you find out they are in back preparing the salads for two tables of 4, making the desserts for a table of 10. Drinks, bread...etc. People left prior to being served people left without paying their bill. I squarely put this on the management's shoulders. I didn't see a bartender until we were ready to leave. Waitress had that to do as well. First night of Restaurant Week you expect kinks. This was the worst. I felt bad...
