By far the worst hotel we've ever stayed at
My mother made this reservation for my aunt in my mother's Hilton Account, who is grieving tremendously and desperately needs a break. The only reason we booked here is because we called and were told that they have tubs for standard queen rooms. She gets here late after work, as the hotel is 3 hours away from home, and would LOVE to have a bath, unfortunately, somehow, their "new" boiler decided to break, so there was NO hot water for the whole hotel. They had a plumber in, kept telling her itll be an hour, then another hour, then another hour, until it is 3am in the morning and she still doesnt have hot water. The manager refused to walk her, a standard hotel procedure to ensure you have a place to stay for your duration when the hotel royally screws up, to any of the nearby hotels because their "owner doesnt own any other properties." An excuse that a manager at a nearby Hilton said was "unheard of" The manager, who we'll call Little Ceaser, offered her 10 points as "compensation" At this point she has gotten no sleep, because she can also hear everhthing out in the halls, every breath of air every whisper, every crack in wood, all leaks through the walls and is keeping her up at night. My Aunt wants breakfast, but the staff cant keep the food in stock, so she is unable to even eat. We had to call corporate, demanding a full refund in USD, as my mother is not the one paying for the hotel, and a complimentary stay at a nearby hotel. Thats a corfuffle in of itself, that required my mother to call as they became uncooperative, and I had to go to the hotel. Only after calling corporate did he give us a full refund, BUT IT WAS IN POINTS. And do you know why? "We dont deal with money." Said Little Ceaser Something that IS ILLEGAL btw, as you have to deal with one shape or form of USD, whether cash, debit, credit, or check it has to be SOMETHING. He's obviously become spiteful as now there has been 3 people yelling at him and corporate is on his behind, rightfully so, maybe you should do your job. This man lacks empathy and I would go as far as to say he's a snake in human skin. Some people need to learn to have empathy and stop being spiteful. You never answered my question Little Ceaser, you just reverted back to your script. If your wife died yesterday, and you needed to get away. So after cleaning every single room in your horrid hotel, you go to a destination 4 hours away, looking forward to a hot bath and a hot breakfast next morning, only to get neither, how happy would you be? This hotel deserves to be shut down and Little Ceaser is not fit for this job. Only book a stay here if you enjoy and actively partake...
Read moreIt was ok. Since it is a new hotel, everything was very clean, and was a basic accommodation for our weekend stay. I was surprised that there was no hot breakfast. My friend chatted with Madison, who informed us that this could be found on the website. The website lists continental breakfast, which is not truly just a bagel bar and yogurt according to google. To give benefit of the doubt, it is not hot breakfast so anything cold and quickly prepared would suffice. If you call, the automated message does state it is a bagel bar with 24 hour coffee. Funny enough, when we went to breakfast at 6:30am, there was no coffee. I drink decaf, which fortunately was still available, but honestly not prepared well. It was actually quite gross. The person operating the front desk also seemed put off that they had to refill the coffee once again when informed it was out. All that aside, we did not do our research on that part so we take fault, but kind of disappointed. I also had an issue with billing. I originally booked with the intention of bringing our dogs, but last minute decided not to. I informed Caesar on our day of check in about this change. He was very polite and friendly, and said he would remove it for us. On our drive back home, l received the invoice which still had the pet fee. I called the front desk, and to my surprise Caesar picked up. He once again said he would issue the refund, but then proceeded to tell us that in the future we need to inform the front desk of any changes at check in. Awkward. We did inform him at check in, and he said he would fix it then, but apparently not. Either way we got it figured out. Overall, the hotel is nice and clean. The beds are hard as a rock, but bedding is still Hilton standard which is much appreciated. Of course, with more stays the beds may get softer. The staff was ok. We only talked to Caesar, and he was friendly, but the rest kind of ignored us when we walked in. It will do if you want nice but cheap. I definitely prefer the Tru...
Read moreStaff were super kind, willing to support- but unfortunately adding lipstick to a pig only goes so far.||I honestly believe when rooms are booked with third party apps the hotel gives you the bottom of the barrel room. This has been our experience lately.||Arrived at check in, Madison was amazing- no issues- went upstairs to our room- ||Walked in- no lights- husband realized nothing was plugged in- We plugged lights in, then found a pretty a large whole in the wall ( looked like someone had pushed the couch thru the wall), next checked the beds- 2 pillows had no pillow cases, one pillow covered in sweat, the other pillow specks of blood, and one pillow a huge hole in the pillow case-||Husband went down to front desk, they were super apologetic, sent someone up to check, front desk guy agreed that it was nasty and stated there is no way you guys put that hole in the wall. He then asked if they gave us a different room, indeed they had- we packed up and moved upstairs.||Once upstairs the room at first glance appeared better. We turned on the air conditioning, dropped our stuff and went out for a bite to eat.||Retuned approx three hours later welcomed back by the front staff. A/c wasn’t working and now the lights weren’t either, they were all unplugged ( they had worked when we left). Pillows again were missing pillow cases, one pillow case was so badly ripped, it wasn’t covering the entire end of the pillow. At this stage we were exhaust and decided to suck it up for the night, but called to let the front desk know we weren’t retuning the next day. Front desk was fine with this. Middle of the night my husbands sleep apnea machine came unplugged, upon closer inspection the plugs appear to be severely worn, and only hold male ends for a short period of time ( when his sleep apnea machine cord popped out, we also had no lights .. super thankful for cell flash lights! )||Again staff was kind, but unfortunately the hotel is in ROUGH shape- at least the two rooms we...
