Pushy, unprofessional, lazy, scammers. Williamsburg..you can do better. From the beginning: Security was trying to sell a section because they were âabout to be sold outâ but the bar was basically empty. We walked in after paying a $10 cover per person, and stood for a few minutes waiting for a host or someone to seat us, no one came. so my group walked up to a girl that was taking orders to ask how much a hookah was and the waitress told us it was $200 for a bottle and a hookah. We told her we werenât interested in getting a section and we just wanted hookah, she then asked what bottle we wanted after we told her we werenât interested. We asked if we could just get a hookah, they then told us a hookah is $30. We sat down at one of the many empty âsectionsâ (a bench, two chairs and a dollar tree bucket filled with ice) and were told where we sat at was âreservedâ for the next two hours (it was about 12:30 am with no one lined up outside). My group of 4 was moved to a table with 3 seats. The same waitress then came up to us with a card reader asking us what bottle we wanted again and at that point my group knew we were leaving. Beyond that: the music was so loud you couldnt hear anything and ordering was a headache, there was some random guy with a microphone yelling over the music, a vodka red Bull was $13 and barely filled half the tiny cup, the waitresses were rude and stuck up, the security was so incredibly rude and childish it was embarrassing youâd think they were working at an actual reputable club not some corner in a strip mall that was almost entirely empty. Iâm not sure why anyone with any self respect would spend a dollar let alone $200 here every weekend. We were prepared to spend more than $200 but the way the staff acted and the ambiance and pushy selling of overpriced everything left a bad taste in our mouths. Theyâve only been open since February and i doubt theyâll be open...

This is hands down, my favorite hookah lounge/bar that I have ever had the pleasure of attending. To sum up the great aspects, here is a list in all the spots that they did not only exceed other hookah lounges, but surpassed their wildest dreams of what they would want to be. Live rap music, the night I went, they supported newer younger rappers and allowed them to show their art, and they did not fail to showcase their true talents! DJ General XO absolutely blessed this place with his presence. I didn't catch the name of most of the rappers, but youngfon and aings showed up and showed out. The food, absolute fire, every item we received. Drinks, phenomenal, never have I ever received drinks of such quality in a hookah lounge. The true center piece to pull this all together, the hookah. The mint pineapple mix our group got was the absolute best hookah mix I have ever received. The manager was on the spot, checking and replacing coal frequently to maintain the perfect burn. The smoke lasted for hours, it was thick and plentiful, never harsh and never lacking!
Most importantly, the vibe. Every single person in there was turnt up and inviting. Being in the military and only visiting thus area for 3 days for work, they made me feel as if I were HOME. They showed so much love, made sure we felt like we lived there. I cannot wait to I get another TDY back here. I know the first spot I'll be stopping.
Thank you Lava Lounge for the...
Read moreIf you think this place is anything above one star (and thatâs just because I canât rate a 0) you must have never been anywhere outside of Williamsburg. the level of unprofessionalism I witnessed going to this place is ridiculous. Security stares everyone down and talks to you like youâre bothering them trying to get into their empty establishment. They clearly couldnât pass the test to become actual cops so they take their anger out on patrons because they want to feel powerful. I understand and admire the level of safety: having multiple security guards with guns at the door, but the rudeness and blatant disrespect they gave patrons was unacceptable. Theyâll try to upsell you on everything and lie to you about what you can/canât order so they force you to order the most expensive options. The waitresses act bothered if you ask them for anything. Itâs embarrassing that we gave this place a chance honestly. Go to Richmond for an actual enjoyable hookah experience where youâll be treated like a human not...
