First and foremost this place is NOT A RESORT. PERIOD. Just because you serve breakfast does not make you a resort... and by the way, where is this outdoor pool with water slides that was advertised to be here this season not only on their website but here on Trip Advisor, Booking.com and Expedia???? Anyways, GREAT customer service though, lemme tell ya....... I especially loved the pubic hairs and piss droplets ALL under and behind our toilet seat. I was so excited for those I could barely contain my self! And the fire pits, too! You know, cause there's only 2 and they are pretty cool.. they're there for EVERYONE on the grounds but they don't mind if a group comes out at 8pm and does not only NOT use the pit, chairs and grill... but stock piles their belongings on top of the chairs, grill and surrounding area so no one else can use it and take it from them so THEY have it the whole time they're here. OH! And I especially loved the smell... oh my God, it was so good. I love me some cat piss, let me tell you! The big, brown, ring of calcium and lime deposit in the tub was an all time favorite! And let's not forgot about the customer service, guys!! Before we drove 5 hours here we called HERE...The Sunbird Hotel and Resort, and asked If the room we were about to book was handicapped accessible beings the guest that was coming had NO LEGS and was in a wheelchair so we obviously needed accommodations. We were told ABSOLUTELY!! After you book the room, just give us a call and we will get you a first floor, "handicap accessible" room! So, what did we do? We booked our room and called back. We needed 2 beds since it was 3 of us, so a double bed room and asked how wide the opening to the bathroom was so her wheelchair could fit inside. Long story short we are told we are all set... 1st floor, DOUBLE BED room, A.D.A compliant... We arrive to a 2nd floor room, was told they may not even have a 1st floor and says the dog that was with us was not allowed even though she is a service dog for my client, with her to alert for falls. THAT turned into a debacle of showing federal cards for proof and the good ole' world wide web to prove to them that absolutely no one or such place on earth can send away a person who has a service dog. So, that was settled but you want to know the AMAZING customer service that was given to us???????? Wait for it... waaaiiittt for iiiiiittttttNOTHING!!! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! instead we were reprimanded by the manager, told the "Handicap Accessible NON A.D.A compliant hotel even though their website states they are" rooms are ALL only ONE bed rooms. One. Why is that a good business decision....?? So! me and the service dog have to help lift my Leg Less client/friend off the floor of the hotel bathroom because her chair does not fit in the doorway, like... at all, and she has to crawl on the floor into said piss and pubic hair bathroom so I can legit pick her up as best I can and lift her on the toilet so the poor girl can pee... and she has to crawl in the tub like Ursula. It's so much fun, you guys.. omg I can't even right now. This place would not make not 1 sacrifice... not 1. Instead we were paraded around the grounds being shown rooms as proof they couldn't do a single thing for us. 5 hour drive, 7pm at night, no vacancy for miles and miles and these people don't even have handicap chairs for the showers but they list them selves as A.D.A compliant. The only good thing about this place is the location and hot breakfast. That's why I gave this place the only star I could. And I shall spread the word that this all this place is, is a polished turd. Keep scrolling when booking, the price will reel you in but it's cheap...
Read moreI had the worst experience with your staff members. There was only one that was trying and she left me in the main lobby for 30 mins. The rest were super insulting. I'm disabled and asked for a room on the first floor and was told there was none. So I carried everything up the stairs. We went to the "heat pool" that was freezing and there was no towels. We were so cold that my son and I went to the room to take a bath. My son is strong and could open the door you really need to jam it open. Then one of the lights didn't work. The bath knob was also jammed and had to put all effort in to twist it. Then the bath tub would not stay full. Not even with a face towel covering the drain. So I tried to call the front desk with the phone in the room. Doesn't work. Then I called with my cell. No one would pick up. I carry every thing out of the room and to the front disk. I waited in line once it was my turn the lady said its me and that these problems were just me and that she need to see the room before giving me another. Im like your kidding me. She like I need to check in these others and we shall walk to the room. I waited another 30 minutes. The door she said has a stick with each door. The phones don't work in anyone room. The light didn't work because I didn't have a switch up. She was wrong. About it all. I was so upset more about how she treated me and how all the staff wasn't my vacation time that I was going to book another room. But I was hurting and exhausted that I stayed with your hotel. That was a regret. The second room was on the bottom floor. So I guess I was lied too. This door had no jam. All the lights work. which I provided to the lady I was right it was broken. The bath tub filled up and was easy to turn. There was no tissues and the staff said they were out and just use toilet paper. In the morning I was bring breakfast back to eat and a staff member said that's a lot food what are you doing. I was like your kidding me is there a limit on continental my kid and I eat a lot and were not big people. Another staff member says "miss your going to be late for check out and we will charge you extra". Which I was not late on checkout. Thanks to the threat.. I've traveled many times in my life and this by far was the worst experience. 2 hours of my vacation time wasted. Instalted by all...
Read moreSo the location is ideal for things to do, places to eat, and some local breweries and wineries. The rooms are a decent size and seemed clean. However our first night was something of a nightmare. We checked in at 1930 and were assigned a room number. Two hours after check we thought we heard something going on with the door, we assumed it was the wind. Well sure enough the door opened slightly, as i had the door bolted shut. The man outside then started kicking and punching at the door. My wife screamed and still the banging kept going until i shouted a few swear words and threatened to kill the person. Now I am off duty law enforcement and active military and had we not flown I would have had my firearm and likely shot someone. I called down to the front desk and the employee informed me he forgot we were in our room number and he made a guest a key for that room. Now i pointed out our shades were drawn and the lights and tv were on. It was hard to not see it was occupied but furthermore why would kicking the door down help at all. The clerk apologized and said it wouldnt happen again. Well, one hour later it happened again except this time it was the clerk who chose to try and key his way into our room. The door opened, i shouted and came over but he had run off. I called the lobby again and the clerk admitted it was him. He forgot which rooms were vacant and instead of knocking like a normal person and announcing front desk he decided to key his way into a room with the light on, tv on, and window closed. It was ridiculous. My wife couldnt get proper sleep fearing someone was going to break into our room in the middle of the night. I went down to the manager in the morning and she was just as confused as I was. She reviewed the paperwork that clearly indicated we were in our room number but nothing else was offered. We received nothing to compensate for the sleepless night in fear...
