My boyfriend and I like to travel a lot and are very easy people to please, however this “resort” was AWFUL. We went for a weekend getaway and got to our room around 6pm. The parking lot was full of drunk adults, and about 30 children ages 7-15 dancing, screaming and running around blasting music with a large portable speaker. We were told by one of the adults in the parking lot “we do this every summer, we have 16 soccer families here and we’ve been doing this the same weekend for 6 years now.” We didn’t mind at first because we love to have a good time too, but would have appreciated a heads up from the resort especially because they knew it was going to be a rowdy weekend. The partying went on until 12 midnight-1am both nights we were there. Kids were knocking on our door screaming and running away, running nonstop up and down the halls above us, their parents were just as loud and rude thinking it was funny and leaving their kids unattended in the pool/around the resort. We then were woken up both mornings at 6am because the walls are so paper thin we could hear everyone throwing up in the rooms next to us hungover. We went to the hot tub to relax the first night but the water only came up to our hips when we sat in it and the water smelt dirty. We don’t like to complain and never have at a hotel before… however we did call Debby at the front desk around 11:30pm the first night. She presented herself as the manager and said she was having her police officer come by as they had many complaints coming in. The “police officer” was actually their maintenance man (who was very nice and helpful!) In our room there were holes in the bathroom ceiling. Spiders filled the shower/tub, and the bathroom sink wouldn’t drain. This room was GROSS. We are usually out and about exploring so do not mind our room accommodations, and only spent $100.00 for a room in the Cape but we have got much more for less. THIS PLACE WAS NOT WORTH IT. Multiple guests got full refunds due to the room conditions and the amount of noise/partying that weekend. We went through Expedia so Debby told us to get our refund from them. She told us she would only agree to a refund if we lied and said we wanted a refund due to needing to leave for a family emergency and not because of what was actually going on… we of course weren’t in agreement to lie. We found out a week after getting home Debby denied our refund and told them “they never complained while they were here.” Catherine at the front offered us 2 nights free to come back when we checked out, my boyfriend said she was very kind and helpful however we will NOT be coming back due to Debby’s terrible customer service, blatant lie and how disgusting these rooms are. Only positive comment about this place is...
Read moreThey do not allow dogs over 35 lbs and only have some dog friendly rooms (which book up fast). I reserved a room here months in advance do to them advertising as dog friendly. When we arrived after driving all day, we were barely greated (staff was chatting with friends who also appeared to be checking in). Then when they asked if we had a pet and I said yes, the woman who was working with us, and the woman chatting with her friends both went, "ohhh, ugh, we don't have any rooms left." Then they asked how big our dog was. I said 50 pounds, and they responded that they only allow up to 35. So clearly, they had oversold rooms but were then trying to not say that. She told me to cancel and I would not be charged, however, when I went online to cancel it said there was a $80 cancellation charge. Neither would give me anything in writing saying I would not be charged, and they appeared very annoyed I was even still there disrupting their time with their friends, who where now sitting in the lobby with the staff while their dog jumped all over the furniture (my well behaved dog would never do that, yet I was the one turned away). My husband asked for a recommendation of where to look for a dog friendly hotel and the only comment we got was some scuff of "good luck finding any hotel on the cape this late." So at 7PM on a Saturday we thought we were out of luck. We went online and immediately found several places. We called the first 2, both allowed us that night with a dog and we chose one and checked in easily with nice staff and felt welcomed. There is no need to stay at this hotel that is unfriendly and does not want you there when there are better options nearby with free breakfast, a welcoming check in, plus everything this hotel had...
Read moreMy family and I planned a trip for us 5. So we asked for a room with two queens bed for three kids and 2 adults, and these kids are quite small. When we walked into the room it smelled like mold and the rug was dirty. Instead of queens there was full beds, not close to what we asked. The beds were so small one of the kids had to make a small bed out of a chair, which is sad. The air smelt like mold trying to be covered by air freshener, and a terrible smelling one. Then while in the bathroom there were multiple flys showing that the place was dirty. They were everywhere, dead or alive and it was making me sick. They were in the sink sitting there dead. Besides that at around 7:00pm we headed to the pool to cool off and try at the slightest bit to have fun after seeing the room. When we got there it was fine but when the kids got into the pool, there were hair clumps floating around. Showing that they don’t care for cleanliness. This place also had no elevator which wouldn’t be good for people with disabilities. During bed we put on the tv to have a little bit of noise and the tv remote didn’t work. It was suck on one channel and didn’t change, it only turned off. The kids need sounds to sleep which is tv and it didn’t work. Also in the middle of the night there were scratching and random banging of doors. Which they should tell there other guests to keep it down while it was 9:30pm. The next morning when we awoke we made coffee. It tasted as if it was made for mud. Also throughout the night people were partying in there parking lot. Which was hard for us and the kids to fall asleep. This place is terrible wouldn’t recommend. There are other places near that would make a...
