Tried this hotel as I really needed a place to cook due to dietary restrictions. However, moved out a few days later as I could no longer stand the filth. The mattress and topper were heavily stained, the grooves on the wooden floor are black with encrusted dirt, the corners of the kitchen counter had greasy grime, and some of the kitchen items had a layer of dirt and grease on them. The room also smelled really heavily of smoke upon check-in which persisted many days later despite ventilating every day. The AC (which is used to heat the apt) is noisy and water pressure is very low. The apartments have individual electric water heaters (as is typical in the country) so you cannot take a very long shower or you will end up rinsing yourself with cold water. And, if the AC, water heater and stove are turned on simultaneously the power goes out (so one must remember to turn the different items on and off as needed). Bathroom is also super small and it is impossible not to touch the toilet while brushing teeth or the glass door while trying to squeeze into the shower stall (and I am slim and petite). Couch also had stains and the whole place looks a bit run down. Wi-fi is very hit or miss and slow. I could not do any updates to my computer or phone. I honestly have no idea where the good reviews of this place come from. This is barely a 2-star hotel, if that. The only good thing is the front desk staff who are very friendly and accommodating. Read moreIt really depends on what you are looking for. But if you are looking for a clean, (yes, previous reviewer - clean) modern apart hotel, in a good Montevideo neighborhood, this is the place. We didn't try the breakfast, so no comment on that. However for less than seventy bucks a night we got a spacious living room, large balcony, a full size kitchen (including large refrigerator, stove top, microwave and electric kettle) a bedroom with all the amenities, and a small but efficient bathroom w/shower. New flat screen TV with international channels plus HBO, in both bedroom and living room and WIFI. We chose the hotel because it was close to a friend's apt., so didn't use the kitchen. We did not need full hotel services. But if you are spending a few days and find that a very reasonably-priced suite with a full kitchen fits your needs,...
