The hotel is located on a quiet street and is decently clean. It’s pretty close to the beach; about a 5 minute walk.
The state of the room and hotel is questionable. It’s hot in the summer in Vietnam. The AC unit in the room barely works. The AC and fan in the room must be left running for over an hour before the small room begins to cool down. The electricity on the room only works when the key card is in the room, so you come back to a stuffy room everyday.
The bathroom is like a sauna. It’s always hot and moist. You must discard used toilet paper into the trash can or risk clogging the toilet. There is zero water pressure and no water heater at the hotel. The water is hot during the day and cold at night. In the summer, it’s tolerable since the cold water cools you down in the sauna like bathroom.
The guests in the hotel are wild. This is a non smoking hotel but all the other guests seem to be smoking. The first couple of rooms I saw were on floors reeking of cigarettes. The hotel staff doesn’t acknowledge it or asks the guests to stop. The guests make really loud noise at all hours. There are guests who run around soaking wet and leave puddles in the hallway and in the elevator, creating a hazard for others. The kids run around screaming and knocking on all the guests doors early in the morning.
The first night I arrived, I asked to change room hoping for a room with a decent AC. The male receptionist was visibly annoyed and you could see he was reluctant to help. A couple of the rooms smelled of cigarettes. All were extremely hot.
The second night, I called down to ask him to ask a guest to stop smoking on my floor as the smell was coming my into my room. The male receptionist denied the smell but when I insisted and asked wasn’t this a non smoking hotel, he responded back that some guest secretly smoke in their room. He never asked the other guest to stop and the smoke kept coming into my room. My door is bent so it doesn’t sit flush with the doorframe and the smells and sound from the hallway of my floor easily travels into the room.
The hotel lobby has an AC unit that they sometimes use. It works great when turned on. Much better than the AC units in the rooms. The male receptionist slept on the couch in the middle of the afternoon almost everyday. Its was odd and not professional at all.
The female housekeeper was sweet and did a great job of cleaning and keeping the room well stocked with clean towels and two water bottles everyday. The female receptionist was better at English and at least appeared to care about my stay...
Read moreThis is a wonderful hotel to stay in! Looks like it was just built and the room we stayed in was very nice and comfortable. It is in an up an coming neighborhood as the property is away from the dense tourist hotels, but go a bit south and you're in the mix with good restaurants and bars, go a bit North and you see mostly locals and some more authentic places to eat.
The girl (Katie) at the front desk is so sweet and nice, she puts a smile on your face every time you see her. The owners (husband and wife) are amazing as well! This place has your best interests at heart and has your back in any situation... Just one call away and they'll be there for you as they were for my wife and I... And you need to know people like this when you are traveling in a place with not much English.
The breakfast was delicious with warm fresh french bread loaf and the stuffed rice pancake is what we got every day (#1 and #4). There is a restaraunt across and just down the street (Com Nha Lihn and look out for Huong the waiter) everything was so good here, we did not have one bad dish and the spring rolls are honestly the best I have had so far ... Like in my life lol
Cheers,...
Read moreSituated in a side street not far from the beach and a busy road big on seafood restaurants this hotel is comfortable enough but lacks in certain areas. Room said it had a balcony it doesn't. Breakfast is a fixed choice pre ordered the night before and is nothing short of terrible.||The hotel lift stops at reception and will not let you go down to the street level without staff assistance which means you are lugging luggage up a flight of stairs before you check in and out unless you get the lift through the small dining room at ground level a bit crazy or staff assistance, confused sorry!!||The staff were as helpful as they could be the young receptionist who spoke some English had lesser customer service skills than the owner/manager lady who spoke no English at least she did her best to help. Pretty average, clean room but lacking in many areas. Plus side it was close to a popular restaurant just turn right has a bull out the front and had a well priced menu good food....
