It's beachfront so of course the view is beautiful. But it is wedged in between a number of very overpriced places. And it does not beat the allegations. Certain dishes were just wildly overpriced. And I get it is trying to be a more fancy dinner out but for all that then everything I eat should taste amazing and it just was OK.
We had a lobster some sides, calamari, and jumbo prawns. For sides, we had sautéed mushrooms and mashed potatoes.
Everything was just OK. Flavor wise the food was really average. The jumbo prawns were probably the best thing we had. We gratefully we are doing our currency converter as we made our choices because we almost got got for a $10 scallop. Yes, one scallop.
If you do go here, I would suggest just having food and then going for drinks somewhere reasonably priced. Also, we paid about $50 for a 1 pound lobster that only had even edible meat at the tail. They're not specific on the menu about which type of lobster each offering is. One option just reads..lobster, another option is what we found out after it arrived, which was a blue lobster which again only has meat in the tail. But that's not specified on the menu. The last option at least says it's a slipper lobster.
But still, the meal came to about $120. Which in a lot of places is relatively still affordable, but when you think about what you could have eaten here in terms of seafood for that price things should have definitely tasted better. The calamari was completely bland.
So again, the food was just OK. The sides were unremarkable. But the view was pretty beautiful and relaxing. Again, though you could have that view at any of the restaurants along this many miles of beach.
We stayed because nothing was bad and we were actually really hungry and had had a long day and again the prawns were the best thing at the table you'll see in my video we finished those. I didn't get a...
Read moreThe initial impression of the restaurant's aesthetics is alright, and the cleanliness is satisfactory. However, the overall dining experience was unfortunately marred by a severely lacking service quality. It was genuinely one of the most disappointing service encounters I've ever had.
Although the food itself managed to salvage some aspects of the visit, with its quality being relatively acceptable, the glaring issue with the service overshadowed any positive aspects. It's regrettable that such an essential aspect of the dining experience fell so far below expectations.
I wouldn't be as inclined to emphasize the service aspect if it weren't for the relatively high prices charged. It's disheartening to pay a premium and yet receive such a subpar level of service. This significant disparity between cost and experience leaves a lasting impression, and I sincerely hope the management takes steps to address these shortcomings to provide a more enjoyable overall dining experience for future patrons. Read more4 of us had dinner here based on the favourable reviews.. Cost around USD 300 which included a bottle of wine.. They had probably one of the best looking fresh seafood in tanks, a very large area at the front of the rrastaurant, so you first pick and weigh your seafood, then you decide in which style you want them cooked.. Taste wise we found that tge good was pretty average.. Lets see , for example we ordered the shrimp in a garlic butter sauce, what you expect is to see is your beautifully cooked shrimp in a pool of finely choopped garlic and plenty of butter... What we got was a pool of etreremely thick sweet sludgey and floury pinky orange sauce.. We had a bunch of stuff including lobster And each was pretty similar... Decent place, ok food, expensive, nice service.. Would we go...
