Pros ✅ Exceptionally clean premises throughout ✅ Friendly staff with good English communication skills ✅ Variety of non-dairy milk options including oat milk ✅ Comfortable workspace environment ✅ Convenient beach proximity (just across the main street) ✅ Clean restrooms (a rarity in Vietnam) ✅ Effective air conditioning and pleasant climate control Cons ❌ Very crowded on weekends ❌ Limited seating availability during peak hours ❌ Potentially noisy when busy Overall Impression Starbucks Da Nang offers a reliable haven for both travelers and digital nomads seeking a comfortable space to work or relax. Its prime location near the beach makes it an ideal stop before or after enjoying Da Nang's beautiful coastline. For those familiar with the Starbucks experience globally, this location maintains the brand's standards while offering the unique advantage of its Vietnamese...
Read moreIt is so difficult to customize a drink here. For example, I don’t like sweet drinks, I cannot consume dairy, and I have sore throat, so I cannot drink very cold drinks with ice, so I asked to make salted foam espresso without condensed milk and ice, but it really was difficult for a worker to understand what I wanted. Though I simply wanted room-temperature caramel-flavored americano with salted foam on top of it. The foam is mostly vegetable fats, so I’m OK with it. I felt uncomfortable staying there and taking the time from other customers, so I really became upset and irritated. They also overcharged me taking 169.000 instead of 72.000 VND. She said she thought I ordered two drinks, I don’t lnow why she would think that. That’s good I noticed and return. So stressful, they just ruined my mood on my day off, I’m not going to ever return to that place. It’s very difficult to communicate to them.
Nonetheless, the second time they did the drink right. When I order through Grab and select less ice and less sweet, they still send a very sweet drink full of ice. I’m also not sure if they really replace the cough, because I feel slight agitation after drinking their decaf as if it were...
Read moreI was really hoping to get Starbucks’ take on traditional Vietnamese coffees, e.g. Viet, Saigon, egg, or coconut. But alas, they only had standard Starbucks fare with some fancy varieties. The muffins were very tasty as we enjoyed a chocolate and a blueberry muffin. (Note to Americans: you will never find those super sugary sweet American Starbucks food & drinks here….leave your diabetes back in the States) Being one of only a couple of SB’s in Da Nang I was disappointed to see the prices so high. They were almost at the level of American prices. Bottom line, there is much better coffee at much better prices all...
