This is a lovely place to stay in Hanoi. Central location and close enough to many sights, such as The Temple of Literature and Hoa Lo Prison. Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum was close enough, preferably using a quick, but cheap ride in a Grab taxi!|Breakfast was good and fresh and prepared on the spot by the lovely staff, in the breakfast room on the floor above looking out to a beautiful balcony with lovely plants. |The room was big enough and so was the bed. The staff were extremely helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and called a taxi for us twice when we needed one and made sure it actually arrived. Safety was not an issue as the property seemed to be well protected and we never felt threatened. We were pleasantly surprised on arrival at the hotel when the staff rushed out to our taxi to welcome us and carried our luggage up the stairs to the second floor. They also carried it downstairs when we left the next day. They made sure our stay was really good and we feel glad they did.|The bed was not quite as comfortable as we would have wished. The bathroom was below average, as it looked and felt very old and neglected and it seemed like it had been put together by the neighbourhood handyman at a bargain price. However all toiletries were provided. Nevertheless everything worked out just fine, as we only stayed there for one night. For the price we paid it was good. The temperature in the room was quite hot overnight as the fan provided was inadequate, but the free wi-fi...

Staying here felt just like being at home — warm, cozy, and incredibly welcoming. It’s a charming homestay/bed-and-breakfast-style spot with a personal touch that made our trip extra special.
The hospitality was top-notch. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. On days we left early for tours, they packed breakfast for us — complete with bottled water — which was such a thoughtful and appreciated gesture.
Van was amazing! She helped arrange our airport transfer and even recommended a great place to get my optical glasses done. Laundry was available at modest rates, and everything was handled with care.
The location is absolutely fantastic — right next to local stores, massage places, the Old Quarter, a fantastic bakery, and a 24-hour mini-mart. We were able to walk to Train Street, the lake, and the Water Puppet Show with ease. Everything you need is just a short walk away.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and heartwarming place to stay. Would...
Read moreChristina's Secret Garden in Hanoi is a real find. The accommodation, both the bedroom and common areas, are lovely and traditional in interior design and feature all the comforts you need including great towels, bedding and beds! The location is great and close to Old Quarter sights - For example, the beautiful Temple of Literature is only a fifteen minute walk, Train Street is just around the corner, Kiem Lake is a nice stroll and there are good restaurants and street food stops close by. This is enough for me to give a big 10 to Christina's but the icing on the cake is the truly great customer service! We dealt with Linh who was so helpful and quick to respond to questions we had, researching travel options for us at 9pm at night and liaising with us about our taxi at 6.15am! We stayed at another Christina's - in Hoi An - afterwards because of the service in Hanoi and they were great too! A great, consistent brand which we will use again on our next trip to Vietnam. Keep up the good work...
