➕ It was located perfectly - close to the old quarter (but not in the middle of the madness!), french quarter and the lake. Also close to the bus stop 86 which takes you to the airport for 35,000VND. A grab to the train station will only cost you 32,000VND. ||Rooms are spacious and clean. Even though the road outside was very busy, we had the best sleep we’ve had in SE Asia. The balcony was lovely to chill out on. ||The hosts were very friendly and smiley. We had a great chat on the last day and she offered us to leave our luggage there for free whilst visiting Cat Ba. They also have the cutest puppy dog called Beurre.||➖ - Wifi was a bit unreliable.|- lack of breakfast.|- the place was hard to find as it’s upstairs above a shop so you have to look up to see the sign and walk through the shop to get to...
Read moreWe had a great stay at the Hanoi Balcony Homestay... Huyen & Hien are great hosts, always smiling and helpful. English is a little challenging for them, but in a year or two they will have it perfected! They are so welcoming and friendly. The rooms are beautiful, very clean, comfy bed & a great little sitting area with windows. (They only have 4 rooms) We were there during TET (Vietnamese New Years) and they kindly invited us for dinner & drinks with their family, we even went to the community temple at 1 am. We stayed for 10 nights, and they let us leave our bags a couple of times, when we went north. Great, convenient location! Highly recommended, a nice personal touch staying with a family in the fun city of Hanoi. Thanks for everything Huyen &...

No security, every room uses the same key, I found this out because I forgot which room was mine. Overall it was an...
