Stayed in Hanoi Emeral waters with my family for 4 days and 3 nights. Hotel is conveniently near the Old Quarter and about 40 minutes away from Noi Bai International Airport. We arrived earlier than the expected check in time, but they were able to accommodate us and already have two rooms available for us to keep our luggages while they prepare the third one. They have free walking tours available, and have free refreshments, water top up, and warm tea in the lounge area readily available whenever you needed a drink. Grace, one of the front desk staff, were exceptionally amazing all throughout. She welcomed us with a warm smile and ensured everything's in order and my family's comfortable all throughout. I was also comminicating with Grace weeks/months before our arrival for tourist spots and packages available and all of my questions were answered with warmth and genuine care. It was really nice to finally see her when we arrived. She's a great asset in the hotel, and her presence put my family at ease. All the tours she has arranged for us were all amazing! Shopping, souvenir shops, michelin guide restaurants, and Old Quarter landmarks like the hoan kiem lake, and puppet show, were conveniently located near the hotel and within 5-10 minutes walk depending on your phase. Room is not too spacious but really comfortable. They have universal plugs in their room, so travel adaptors are not really a necessity. They always keep the room clean and tidy. Spa/massage is open till late and willing to accommodate you despite the time. On our last day, since we left early, they have also prepared packed breakfast for us to eat during our travel. For the complimentary breakfast, they offer beef, chicken, and vegetable Phở in addition to the buffet set up meals. You have to order it in the counter together with your preferred eggs however, they don't take note of the orders. On my 1st day, i thought they didn't understand my order but, received it within 5 minutes however, on my second day, we went to breakfast very early as we have a scheduled tour early. I wanted to have a warm soup for breakfast and since we were the first to arrive and order, i was expecting my order to arrive at least the same time as how i received it the day before unfortunately, we have noticed that they have served the Phở to others except us. All new visitors arriving and ordering were getting the Phở quicker than expected and later found out that they have totally forgot about our orders. As we were such in a hurry as to not miss the tour, we kept following it up. Only after the third staff who we followed it up that we finally get the Phở. If we were not in a hurry that time, i would have brushed it off, however, found it really disappointing. I hope they do take note of the orders from now on to prevent this from happening again. Despite that minor setback, food option for the breakfast were quite good. Its a shame though that they don't offer options for coffee and tea. Overall, we had a wonderful stay in Hanoi Emerald Waters and received exceptional service despite the tiny mishap during our breakfast. I will definitely recommend this to all my friends and other relatives planning to...
Read moreIt was the best stay on our whole trip in Vietnam.
I actually don't know where to begin but let's start with the staff. All the staff is very friendly, kind, helpful and tries their best to make your stay very special. In all our needs we were helped at any time of the day or night. The day we arrived Jerry and Kim were already waiting for us and supported us all the time. Thank you so much making our stay that special!
The hotel has many opportunities to make further bookings like trips to Halong Bay or the transfer to the airport which is cheaper than grab.
Check-in/ Check-out: the check-in can be made regularly from 2 p.m. until midnight. If you arrive later so there is no problem to make the check-in after midnight. The reception is staffed 24h a day. We've been twice in this hotel. After we left for Sapa and came back to the hotel early in the morning, we had an possibility to take a shower and leave our stuff the hotel until the check-in. Also the staff tried to get us to check in earlier.
Room: the room was very clean and quiet. After exploring the busy, hot and noisy Hanoi the rooms are perfect for calming down and relaxing. The bathroom is equipped with all utensils for human needs (toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, comb, etc). The bed is very comfortable and the air conditioner works quietly so it is possible to keep it one while sleeping.
Location: the hotel is one of few others of Emerald Waters hotels and based like the others in the old town of Hanoi. For exploring the old town it is perfectly located.
Breakfast: the hotel had a big variations of different kinds of breakfast: national, European, UK, American, etc. While travelling through other countries we prefer to eat the national food. So it was perfect for us. The breakfast has everything: fresh served egg in different variations, fruit, salad, vegetable, soup, fresh juice, dessert and other warm and cold dishes.
Choosing this hotel was the right decision. The staff and everything around made our stay in Hanoi perfect!

Read moreWe had an exceptional experience in the hotel. Many of the attractions are close to this location, so it’s walkable from the hotel. Many shops and restaurants including local food stalls are at walkable distance so food and shopping are within reach and at walkable distance. In fact it’s a central place and a perfect location. The breakfast was excellent with many options and food was tasty. The rooms are clean and tidy.
The warmth welcome, the support and cooperation and helping nature by the staff was really wonderful. Unfortunately we reached there during the typhoon (Yagi) day. Even though we missed our overnight cruise as it was cancelled. Ms.Grace, the in charge for the tour arrangements for tourists for the hotel, “Hanoi Emarald Waters Valley Hotel” managed to arrange a 1 day cruising in Halong bay, and that was a great success as far as our trip is concerned. I really appreciate her for her dedication and commitment towards her work. In fact the whole team was very cooperative, and all of them supported very well from the beginning till the end of our stay in the Hotel. In addition to that Mr. Justin who was in the reception even accompanied us to buy souvenirs from a good shop. So all of them have the mentality to help the guests in whichever way possible. I really thank each one of them. Moreover the location being in the heart of everything including the lake area bridge and temple, the train street, French quarter, night market and other shopping area (branded and smaller once) and attractions, I would really recommend the tourists for this property.
The warmth and supporting nature of staff members, their helping nature, and metal attitudes towards guests were highly...
