If you’re in Hanoi, do yourself a favor and check out Banhmi by Kun – it’s an absolute gem! I had the pleasure of trying three different Banh Mi options: BBQ chicken, the omelet with avocado, and the pork. Each one was incredible, but the omelet and avocado Banh Mi really stole the show for me! The bread is incredibly fresh, and you can tell they use only the highest quality ingredients.
What really stands out though are the owners – they’re not just friendly, but true chefs with a passion for what they do. They care about their products and their customers, which really adds to the experience. The restaurant itself is cozy, though it’s a bit small, so make sure to arrive early to grab a spot! There are a couple of outdoor seats too if you prefer eating al fresco.
I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Hanoi. Don’t miss out on trying their amazing Banh Mi – you...
Read moreOkay so this place is so cute and the service is exceptional for a Banh Mi shop. It was right next to our AirBnb so it was easy to grab a quick bite. It was a tad on the higher end on price probably because it looks more like a restaurant than it is a Banh mi spot and at first glance it does look delicious… we tried the BBQ chicken and honestly it wasn’t very good which was disappointing. I’ve had wayyyyy better chicken Banh mi from random stalls along the street pretty much everyday and everywhere in Vietnam and this wasn’t even close to the best. I mean sure for 40,000dongs it wasn’t expensive for a westerner but locally it’s practically doubled the street price. The bread was nice though but the meat wasn’t very good and was heavily over sauced. The worst part is there was no Pate! What’s a Banh mi without some pate! Tsk tsk. Would not...
Read morea super nice little shop that knows its trade. super friendly staff and the food is excellent. for me they were the best Banh Mi sandwiches in the whole city. From chicken to beef and pork to vegetarian options, everything is available and served with a smile.
My highlight, however, was the sweet Banh Mi. I can highly recommend the combination of Mango Tea Macchiato and Banana Banh Mi. A perfect end to a day in Hanoi.
As the restaurant is quite small, you may not be able to get a seat at short notice. I was a guest several times during my stay and could have come back a few more times because it was so delicious.
In addition to the wonderful hospitality, the prices are sometimes cheaper than at the street stalls in the Old Quarter, which is why a visit there is...
