I feel cheated. Hotel doesn’t look at all like on photos presented at booking.com. Additionally lobby was in renovation so you are basically living on a construction site full of dust. After entering site you are surrounded by scaffolding so I guess you need to be extra careful to not get anything dropped on your head. There was no information about this renovation when we made a booking. I wouldn’t book this hotel if I knew it. We didn’t want to move anywhere else as it was our last 2 nights in Vietnam and we just wanted to rest after long and intense travel so we decided to stay here. After seeing all this we asked for a discount for a second night but response was: „no, because manager will be unhappy”. I guess leadership satisfaction is more important here than customer satisfaction. Restaurant as well was completely different than on photos. It definitely requires renovation and cleaning. Toster was very dirty like not cleaned in the last 5 years. Bread was hard like a stone. We usually came for a breakfast around 9:00-9:30 so I guess few peaces of bread were just lying down there in a basket and drying since 6:30. Food was not tasty at all. We ended up eating only 2 fried eggs / omelette and few fruits. These were the only foods where nothing could go wrong. We stayed in 2 different rooms. One didn’t have window. Second room had window but it was premium room and we had to pay more for it. Walls very super thin. You are able to hear people breathing on the corridor or people talking in other rooms. Housekeeping did a lot of noise on the corridor since 8:00. It felt like there was a group of 10 ladies having party, talking very laudly, laughing, etc rather than housekeeping in 4 star hotel. SPA experience was good. I had a massage and hair oil therapy. I was happy with the service and I have rating 5 in internal but facility requires improvement. My hair oil treatment and massage was done in some room which felt like a storage and back office to reception. Few people entered the room during my treatment to take something. Also there was a lot of noise from...
Read moreHiddenGem In Hanoi's Old Quarter, there are so many boutique hotels to choose from. My question would be why Hanoi Brilliant Hotel and Spa?!
The Hanoi Brilliant Hotel and Spa is amazing as it is located right in the heart of the Old Quarter, around the corner from Ho Hoan Kiem. The hotel is very convenient and within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and many activities. For example, Uber is very cheap to Ho Tay.
On-line customer service (Huong Tran) is very quick, responsive, and knowledgeable regarding questions.
From the first moment we arrived, we received a warm welcome from hotel staffs as they quickly brought out cold towels, hot Pineapple tea, and snacks while we waited to check-in. An option we took advantage of was having the hotel store our baggage while we were away (Ha Long cruise) couple days. The hotel offers high-end tours and cruises.
The staff is well trained with English speaking personnel who are exceptionally professional and amazing customer services
For the price, the hotel had solid WiFi and offered a fantastic accommodation experience with nice amenities (room & balcony very spacious).
Buffet breakfast was tasty, from hot to cold dishes and even A la Carte menu at no extra cost (Eggs, Sandwiches & Pancake made to order). The restaurant staff is also great, very friendly & helpful in anyway
I had the pleasure of speaking with the owner of the hotel (Mr. Quan Nguyen), who was a very young gentlemen, but had a great sense of what the hospitality industry should be. He really made this hotel a little hidden gem with a focus on providing outstanding service at a fair price.
Overall, I was very please with Brilliant hotel. The memories of me & my family stay are unforgettable, remaining ever vivid and heartwarming....
For many of my travels, I have not encountered such an amazing level of service. I would definitely stay in this hotel in the...
Read moreI was traveling with my parents, and we had booked 2 connecting rooms. We had the rooms for 1 day, and then left for a 3 day Halong Bay cruise, post which we were coming back for another 2 days. They kept our luggage for the 3 days when we were on the cruise. The staff is simply amazing - Special shout out to Mymy and Eira. They arranged for a surprise cake for my dad when they found out it was his birthday (with no prompting from me). When we came back after the cruise, they helped us identify all the right places to shop at (I wanted to buy local food ingredients to carry back home). I can't say enough nice things about them, and the 2 gentlemen at the desk too (Didn't get their names)!! The rooms are adequate (a little on the cold side, since it was really really cold in Hanoi), and comfortable. The bathrooms are clean. The carpet in the room we got before our cruise (Room 6000) could have used a little bit of cleaning, but it wasn't a big deal.. Breakfast wasn't bad at all - a good mix of local and continental food. The location is amazing!! Right in the middle of the Old Quarter, near the lake. Everything is at a walkable distance. I loved the hustle bustle of Old Quarter. Great shopping and AMAZING food options all within a 5 minute walking distance. The only piece of constructive feedback I'd like to give the management, and I think this is something they can fix easily is - The bathroom doors have paneled frosting in bits and pieces, but are largely transparent! In a shared room, you can see someone on the toilet and in the shower. Makes it quite awkward! :D This can be fixed by just putting thick frosting on the entire door - for your guests' privacy please :) Apart from this, everything about the hotel is great! The staff is the sweetest, most hospitable and most helpful I've seen in my entire tour of Vietnam (5 cities, 5 Hotels) Would recommend to anyone...
