I recently dined at this restaurant and I have to say, the food was absolutely amazing! Not only was the food great, but the service was excellent as well. Really loved David and his team, provided us with excellent service! From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcomed and attended to my every need. One of the dishes that really stood out to me was the springroll in three way. This dish introduced both a fresh and fried version of the spring roll, giving me the best of both worlds. The fresh spring roll was filled with crisp vegetables and the fried version had a perfectly crispy exterior. It was the perfect combination of textures and flavors. I also tried the grilled chicken on bamboo, which was a unique and interesting way to eat chicken. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the bamboo added a smoky flavor to the dish. It was a refreshing change from the usual grilled chicken dish that I am used to. But the highlight of my meal was definitely the deep fried noodle pillow with stir fried beef. Not only was it presented beautifully, but the combination of the crispy noodle pillow and the tender beef was a match made in heaven. I loved the concept of using the noodle pillow as a base for the stir fried beef, it was a fun and delicious way to eat it. Overall, I had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant. The food was great and the service was top-notch. I highly recommend trying the 3 way springroll, grilled chicken on bamboo, and deep fried noodle pillow with stir fried beef. You won't be disappointed!

The food is great but service leaves much to be desired. The tables were mostly occupied by Caucasians and it’s only ours and another table Asians. One of the staff (I suppose team lead) skipped our tables and made small chats with the rest, asking how’s their meal and scanning this QR code to rate the restaurant’s service, as it would help team 1. He brought us our pancake rolls and walked away (yes, despite his eyes for details with other tables, he didn’t stopped to ask if we knew how to prepare the rolls). His racist behavior was further affirmed when he skipped the Asian couple and treated them invisible, leaving to his colleagues to take the orders. When I called for my bill, he brought it over and walked away instantaneously. I had to wave to another staff to get me the change. My suggestion to this person: if you would like to wait on selected ethnic groups, please make it clear to the customers so that we know your preferences. On a better note, Win had kindly guided us in wrapping our first Vietnamese pancake roll. It was a good experience and I would like to compliment his efforts once again! The food at Met restaurant is good, go to other branches and I am sure that the service is better than here.

My experience at MẸT Vietnamese Restaurant & Vegetarian Food 1 was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance was inviting and the staff, particularly Max and Helen, were incredibly hospitable. The culinary journey began with the traditional bun cha, which was perfectly grilled and seasoned, delivering an explosion of flavors with every bite. The spring rolls were fresh and crunchy, a delightful accompaniment to the main course. To quench my thirst, I indulged in their iced coffee with condensed milk, a true Vietnamese classic that was rich and satisfying. Additionally, the refreshing lemon juice provided a zesty contrast to the savory dishes. For dessert, I couldn't resist trying their crepe with chocolate and banana. It was heavenly! The crepe was light and fluffy, complemented by the decadent combination of chocolate and banana. Overall, MẸT Vietnamese Restaurant & Vegetarian Food 1 exceeded my expectations in every aspect. The quality of the food, coupled with the warm hospitality of Max and Helen, made it a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Vietnamese cuisine in Hanoi.

Title: Fair Dinkum Feed, but Room for Improvement on Service Rating: ★★★☆☆ Dropped into this joint for a feed during Saturday lunchtime. First off, we're led to a cool and comfy room which seemed like the perfect spot. But, crikey, after a 5-minute wait, we were asked to reseat in a different room that was a bit on the warm side, all because a bigger group was coming in. After the switch, we were left twiddling our thumbs for a good 10 minutes before anyone took our order. Not exactly a top start. We dug into the Chick & Cashew Nut and Chicken and Sweet Sour - both were alright, nothing to write home about. The sweet sour sauce was a standout, though. The three types of Spring Rolls were okay, but the prawn one was a bit of a letdown. Ordered a Saigon beer and two Tiger beers, but the second Tiger never showed up. Bit of a blunder there. Food-wise, it was fair dinkum, but the service left a bit to be desired. It's a solid three stars from us, but definitely not living up to the 4.9 rating. They'll need to up their game a bit if they want to get there.

If you can, go to MET 2. My experience here was poor. We visited MET 2 first and had really high expectations for this location. The three of us ordered an entree to share and three mains each. My friend got her dish first, then another 10 minutes went by and my other friend got her dish, then another 10 minutes went by and I finally got my dish (after asking twice about the wait). My friends both finished their dishes as I got mine, which was very disappointing. My friends got dessert and they were around a 4/10. The food we ate was okay. My friend enjoyed the pancake. The pho was good, but not the most flavoursome. The grilled chicken in bamboo was good and average. The atmosphere was off. Bells were being dinged over and over again. The staff were dragging their feet along the ground and the bottom seating isn’t the nicest. However, restaurant is well-conditioned and the staff were friendly.
