Solasta Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Hà Nội

We stumbled upon Solasta on a Sunday afternoon. We had the patio to ourselves enjoyed the lake view in the sunshine. Lunch was 199K each for a starter, main & dessert. Portions were quite generous & the food was well-prepared & plated in an attractive way. Staff were friendly & attentive. We will absolutely return to this great spot!

UPDATE: We returned to this restaurant today & were quite disappointed. We sat inside & noted how dirty the restaurant looked - especially the floors. We had soups to start that were quite good. My husband had steak that was watery with lukewarm sides. I had pesto pasta that was grossly over cooked pasta in pesto soup so I ate the grilled shrimp from on top and sent the rest of the dish away. Dessert was fine. Sadly we will not return after today’s experience and I have now changed this from a 4 star rating to a 1...

We had high expectations but we were let down by their subpar english, then the salmon salad has like 17 grams of salmon and wagyu was extremely undercooked as you can see (we ordered medium rare). After spending 1.500.000+ we expected to leave full but we are definitely not full. We also waited for dessert like 25 minutes after the main course and we got it at 21:58 and they close at 22:00. They also did their preparations for closing while we were there so you can't feel not rushed. Good sides are that mushroom soup was good and desserts are also tasty. Staff are also quite attentive and apologetic. At the end they offered us free cocktails next time but we rejected it because drinks were not the problem, it was the food so if you want to make it up you do it through food...

We have been here every morning for breakfast while staying at the Solaria hotel and it's been lovely. Today was our first time having dinner here since we were in the mood for more western food (missing food from home). We ordered the lamb and a plate of fries. The lamb was perfectly cooked and seasoned, beautiful presentation, and a good sized portion and well priced. I've been craving fries for days and it's difficult to find in the city but they were delicious and fresh here. The servers are so attentive and sweet and do their best to make sure you're satisfied. The restaurant also has a really nice ambiance and beautiful views of Hanoi. Once done with dinner, we enjoyed the Sol Bar, which is right upstairs with incredible views of the city....
