The first advantage is that when you choose to sit inside the restaurant, the service is good, fast, and inside restaurant was very clean.

They clean continuously, and there are no tissue papers on the floor like in other restaurants in Hanoi. The restroom on the first floor is also clean and odor-free, probably because I visited during a non-peak hour.

Regarding the food:

Pho with broth: The broth is clear and has a balanced taste. However, the chicken, both breast and thigh, was extremely tough, hard, and fibrous, making it very tiring to chew and tasteless. The immature eggs are also hard.

Mixed chicken glass noodles: The sauce is quite tasty, but the downside is that the chicken is too tough and fibrous, giving the impression that the chickens have laid too many eggs and have lost their quality.

For sizes, there are bowls for children and adults. The price for a children's bowl is 60k VND. The price for an adult's bowl ranges from 80k to 150k VND.

If you sit on the sidewalk, as usual, it will be quite dirty when you look under the table.

The location of the restaurant is excellent as it is only 100 meters from Hoan Kiem Lake.

If you want to bring foreign friends here to eat, be aware of the extremely tough and fibrous chicken, which foreigners often do not like.

On November 10, 2024, after we exchanged our currency to Vietnamese Dong, we went straight to Huyen Huong Pho Restaurant for pho, as it was close to our hotel. After finishing our two bowls of beef pho, the total cost was supposed to be 240,000 VND. It was around 2 PM, and the restaurant wasn't very busy. My husband handed the young lady two bills: one 200,000 VND bill and one 100,000 VND bill to pay the 240,000 VND bill. She took our money and discreetly put it away while talking to someone. We stood there waiting for our change of 60,000 VND. Then, she claimed it wasn't enough and asked us to pay again. As it was our first time using the currency and our first meal in Vietnam, and she was rushing us, we reluctantly paid her again. Once we returned to the hotel and recounted our money, we realized that the cashier had scammed us! Afterward, we spoke to a local who told us that this old trick is still being used, even though the police are trying to crack down on it.
