Golden Holiday Hotel in Hanoi Old Quarters is truly one of the best choices for travelers who want comfort, convenience, and value for money.
From the moment we arrived, the hospitality of the staff made us feel welcome and relaxed. The location of the hotel is excellent, right in the heart of the Old Quarters, making it very easy to walk to nearby attractions, markets, shops, local eateries and Train Street
This saved us both time and money on transportation, and we could enjoy the lively atmosphere of Hanoi just by stepping outside the hotel.
The room we stayed in was very good—spacious, clean, and well-maintained. It had all the necessary amenities, ensuring a comfortable stay after long days of exploring the city.
The bed was cozy, the bathroom was neat, and everything felt well taken care of. For a budget stay, the quality of the rooms was really impressive.
One of the highlights of our stay was the buffet food, which was very, very yummy. There was a good variety of dishes to choose from, and the flavors were authentic and satisfying.
It was a great way to start the day with a hearty breakfast before heading out to explore.
A special mention must go to Mrs. Kim at Golden Holiday. She was extremely good, spoke very well, and went out of her way to give us lots of useful ideas for our trip. Her suggestions helped us plan our days better and discover places we might have missed otherwise. She truly made our experience much more memorable.
Overall, Golden Holiday Hotel is a fantastic budget-friendly stay with excellent staff, great food, comfortable rooms, and a perfect location. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hanoi...
Read moreDecent hotel for short stay. Don't go by self-proclaimed star rating (often labeled as 3*), it's more of a "budget hotel" - which should be 1 or 2 star (a stretch though).
What's good? Good location Friendly service Limited but enjoyable breakfast Multiple charging points in the room
What could be better? Internet speed was limited, mostly buffering Washroom doors need to get frosted vinyls (few have, many do not) Very limited staff (& hence they are overloaded) - which causes slow refilling at Breakfast zone (but they are very friendly and helpful) 🙏
Practical Aspects: Rooms don't have window (so NO view) - but that's how most small hotels are in Vietnam. You get 2 bottles (500+500) of drinking water in room. But you get water and tea free at lobby area. Daily housekeeping. Hotel reception offers forex (but at a 'slightly' lower rate than market). Rooms are of mixed sizes. Some are pretty tight, some are ok. Rooms have AC - which perform well. NO room service! You do get toiletries (but no shaving cream).
Conclusions: If you are in for a short stay - with focus on just night rest, this is a decent place. But please do not let your travel agents fool you by showcasing this a...
Read morethis is a great location to stay for exploring the old quarter of hanoi. this hotel is great because of Ms Kim- she is so incredibly helpful. she helped us book a cruise to lan ha bay (after i asked a lot of questions and was being indecisive but she was patient), sleeper bus to sapa, day trip to ninh binh and transport to and from airport. it was great to save time booking all these things myself and also i saved so much time doing less research/planning. she also answered a ton of questions via whatsapp throughout our trip. the hotel room itself was fairly clean, but the shower has mold in it. we stayed in 3 different rooms (hanoi was our base for exploring the north) and they all had similar setups (and moldy bathrooms- could use replacement curtains). the rooms without balcony are less expensive but actually better for sleep because it’s super quiet and dark. the balcony rooms are facing the street so they’re louder, we did it for a night and did enjoy the balcony during the day, but i wouldnt want to do it for too long if you’re a light sleeper. they kept our luggage while we left for over a week. all of the staff went...
