A Delightful Evening Thanks to Delicious Food and Luna's Outstanding Service!

My recent visit to Tep Vietnamese Restaurant was an absolute pleasure, and I can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was inviting and the aroma from the kitchen was incredible.

The food itself was fantastic. We started with mango salad, duck with pineapple and tilapia with lemon grass which was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor.

Beyond the delicious meal, what truly elevated our experience was the exceptional service provided by our server, Luna. She was an absolute gem – attentive without being intrusive, incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely enthusiastic. Luna offered excellent recommendations, helped us navigate the place of Hanoi as well. She anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, and her warm, friendly demeanor made us feel incredibly welcome and well-cared for. It's rare to encounter such a perfect blend of professionalism and personality.

Tep is an absolute culinary delight! From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance struck the perfect balance between cozy and chic, with warm lighting and subtle decor that reflects authentic Vietnamese charm.

The food? Absolutely exceptional. Every dish we tried—from the fresh spring rolls to the clay pot fish—was bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and made with obvious care and high-quality ingredients. You can taste the difference in every bite. The menu is creative while still honoring traditional Vietnamese roots, which I really appreciated.

The service was equally impressive. The staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. They even offered great pairing suggestions and took time to explain each dish. Lunar was the Star waitress. She took her time to explain and made suggestions.

​I had dinner at tep Restaurant today and left feeling incredibly disappointed. While the food was good, the way a problem was handled was completely unacceptable.

​The issue began with my Passion Fruit Snow drink, which contained several pieces of plastic. I pointed this out to the waiter, who apologized and took the half-empty glass away. I assumed I would get a new drink, but nothing came. Instead, he told me to handle the issue when I paid.

​At the cashier, the situation became even more absurd. The employee seemed completely overwhelmed and called the manager. After the call, she offered me a 20% discount—but only on the contaminated drink. I was baffled that I was being asked to pay for plastic that was not mine and a drink I couldn't even finish.
