We stayed here for one night after our Halong Bay cruise. The buses and cars can't get into the lane, so it is a 6/7 metre walk to the road where you are dropped off. Easy. The receptionist gave us excellent service! I must have missed an email stating that I had booked the room on the 6th floor. The email explained that there is no lift in the hotel and would I prefer another room. When we arrived she showed me the email she had sent. Luckily there was another room available on the first floor. This little Vietnamese lady helped carry our big bags up to the first floor! ( No huffing or puffing!) The room was a big room by Vietnamese standard. The hotel is centrally located. Hanoi is a big city, so you can hear the noise of the motorcycles beeping there horns below, but that is life in Hanoi! Breakfast was included, Fruit and then you order off the menu and the receptionist makes it for you. You can order Vietnamese coffee and juice as well. She ordered us a cab to go to a shopping place we wanted to go too. We had a cab ordered to go to the airp[ort the next day as well. We were impressed with the comfortable and relaxed service at this hotel. For us, getting to know the locals at snakker hotels is why we travel and we weren't let down by HC Old...

The train station, if you‘re going to SaPa by train is approximately a 15 minutes walk.|The rooms (as I stayed there twice, I got to use two different rooms) are very clean, cleaned daily and have really comfortable beds.|Really loved staying there and will be for sure staying there again, if coming...
