My partner and i booked for a one night stay at the Impressive Boutique Hotel which is owned by this same company- Hanoi impressive hotel and is across the road. The hotel uses the same lobby. |We didn't even stay the night as the hotel and room were so disappointing. They have opened a nail parlour in what was once the lobby it appears. The stench of chemicals was horrendous and we had to climb past customers legs. Once reaching our room on 5th floor (no lift) the smell did not dissipate. The room was shabby with damaged furniture and handles missing. There was a smell of food mixed with nail chemicals. We spent about 20 minutes in the room before deciding to return to our previous hotel as the stench was unbearable and causing us a headache. We requested a refund on the basis that staying there was untenable. The receptionist offered us a room in the sister hotel for 20% more. We couldn't be bothered arguing and risking a repeat or other issue. In addition our booking advertised breakfast included. When we asked about this receptionist said breakfast not included. We thought it was very sly to offer the better room and require us to pay more when the room was unlivable. Would...
Read moreWe booked 4 nights at impressive hotel and enjoyed our stay and the location so much that we stayed for 2 more nights. Over the years we have stayed in many hotels, and not once were we treated with the level of hospitality that was shown at impressive boutique hotel. Every single member of the staff working were truly incredible - Zenky, the manager, went above and beyond every single day we were there to make our stay interesting and enjoyable. The location is absolutely perfect; minutes from the lake, right next to the Church, and wonderful street food on every corner. We walked down a lot of streets in the old quarter and found our street to be the most charming. The rooms were cleaned and special touches like flowers were left for us. I cannot stress enough how kind the employees at this hotel were - ever single one of them took time to make our trip special. This is a wonderful place in Hanoi. We thank you...
Read moreWe booked this boutique hotel for our three night stay in Hanoi. The reviews looked great and the photos showed spacious rooms with a nice lobby. Unfortunately this was not the experience we had. The “lobby” was a nail bar and to get to the stairs one must step around the legs of customers. We then had a 6 flight walk up to our room which was such a disappointment. It was small, old, and the bathroom was awful. The hot water lasted 5 mins and the shower leaked onto the entire floor. Our host explained that the hotel was full so I expect despite booking the room weeks ago, because we arrived in the evening after a 13 hour flight from the U.K. we got the leftovers. As it was too late to find alternative accommodation we stayed one night before moving elsewhere. After explaining our dissatisfaction to our host they cancelled our remaining 2 nights...
