Of all the hotels I have checked out in Hanoi, there was something about La Mejor that drew me in. And I'm glad that I did and decided to stay them for my 5-day trip in Hanoi.
The location was perfect -- everything I wanted to visit was just a few meters away from the hotel. I could go out early in the morning or late at night and it would be an issue because there will always be a place to check out near the hotel.
I thought that a hotel surrounded by crowded restaurants and pubs would be an inconvenience because things could get noisy, especially at night when crowds start to gather, but I was wrong. I slept like a baby and barely heard any noise from down the street.
The room I got was a surprise, too. I didn't think it would be spacious enough nor it would even have a tub. So after a long day of exploring Hanoi, it was always good to go back in my room ready to relax in the tub and think about my plans for the next day.
As for the service, I believe this is La Mejor's specialty. The moment I stepped in the beautiful lobby of the hotel, I was immediately blown away. I was greeted by the warmest and kindest front desk officers and was given a welcome drink, a snack, and a cold towel. Indeed a VIP treatment not just for me, but for all the guests of La Mejor.
The staff would always greet me whenever I had the chance to bump into them. They would always check on me if everything was according to my liking, and were always thoughtful to even the smallest detail. I always saw them smiling during my stay and they were very attentive to everybody's needs, no matter how big or small it is. They were always willing to go the extra mile, which made me fall in love with La Mejor even more.
It was bittersweet to say goodbye after a few days as I have come to love the staff, the view of the Sky Bar, the exceptional service, but I know this won't be the last as I will go back and stay with them again.
Truly, staying at La Mejor felt like I was home...
Read moreOh my goodness, this will be lengthy but everyone needs to know about this hotel. I only stayed for 3D2N but I wish I could have spent my whole trip here. I was lucky enough to have Anh to take care of me throughout my stay. She recommended some of the best things to do and gave me tips on the area. I had a day with nothing plan and she helped me book an evening tour with dinner on Vespas. She was always there to help in any way and so gracious when I desperately needed the help. The map she outlined of the area was incredible. The room was clean, well decorated and quiet. I was very lucky to be in a backroom away from the busy street and sleep like a baby both nights. My room did have a joint door with a lock on my side of the door (assumed the other folks had one too). I could see a larger family really enjoying having that access but still having privacy. I loved the firm bed with fluffy pillows. The staff everywhere at the hotel were so kind. I rarely go to hotel bars or restaurants but the rooftop bar staff is so attentive that I had a night cap both nights I stayed. I've already left a review for the restaurant but again I was served by Ngoc and the restaurant was amazing. BUT to my very pleasant surprise after ordering room service, she was the one to bring me my lunch. She was also a highlight of my stay here. The restaurant also is in charge of breakfast I highly recommend that you purchase the breakfast for your stay. It's delicious with a set menu and buffet that you can choose from.
Overall it's a great location (near where almost all street or food tours start) with lots of night life and food. The rooms are clean and has a great rooftop bar and restaurant. The staff are the kindest people that genuinely want their guest to enjoy Hanoi.
Thank you all again so much for such a wonderful...
Read moreAfter researching countless hotels in Hanoi and reading through tons of reviews, I finally selected La Mejor and I’m so very happy we did. We were celebrating our anniversary and I wanted to make sure we got it right, and I can confidently say that we did.
From the moment we arrived and throughout our stay we were made to feel special. We arrived very late and with the hotel being on Beer Street, the road was blocked off to vehicular traffic at night (which I expected). The attendant met us on the street at our car and brought our suitcases in to the hotel and eventually to our room.
Throng who checked us in was very welcoming, helpful, and informative. Patiently sitting with us and going through the hotel details, amenities, and what to expect in Hanoi. Offering tips and guidelines for our stay. We were then escorted to our room where we were pleasantly surprised by the special decorative arrangement they had made for our anniversary!
This was just the beginning. The luxurious treatment continued throughout including our time at their restaurant for breakfast. Anna (Thuy), and Thu attended to us each morning at the restaurant for breakfast, making sure we were happy and felt special. Especially happy that they change the breakfast options everyday so you don’t get tired of the eating the same thing over and over again. And even little things like the music they softly played during our meals all contributed to the positive experience.
Everything you are looking for in a hotel, you will find with La Mejor. The location is perfect, right on the bustling Beer Street yet extremely quiet once you got inside. The staff and service was impecable! Rooms comfortable, food delicious and varied.
I highly recommend La Mejor and will definitely stay here the next time we...
