My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of staying at Aan's place at La Homestay for about 11 days in February. It was a cosy experience and the host & co-hosts were responsive to most of our queries throughout the stay which was a huge help, however there are some cons which need a mention:
The floors of the rooms & the bathroom weren't adequately clean when we checked-in, the washbasin and the tiled shelf weren't too clean either, same with the kitchen countertop and the sink; the tap attached to the sink was almost unhinged. The shower faucets were a little tricky to handle. We couldn't avail the cleaning service because we were often out on long tours. The AC was extremely noisy, disturbed our sleep; the walls were adequately soundproof though which is a prerequisite given the apartment's location; which is amidst a very busy street. The view outside the window wasn't great either but that was okay with us.
A major con that should be listed in the Airbnb(we had booked the place through Airbnb) description: There's a storefront shutter in front of the ice cream store(Mixue) located on the first floor of the building which shuts at night and apparently can be only opened from the inside. My boyfriend had dropped me off at the airport and had returned in the middle of the night to find himself locked out, we had to reach out to the hosts on their personal number for assistance and thankfully one of them were awake to help my partner with it otherwise he'd have not been able to enter the building! This needs to be absolutely mentioned in the listing or the guests need to be notified about it personally while checking in which we were not, major...
