READ THIS BEFORE MAKING THE SAME MISTAKE. The check-in process was an absolute disaster. I asked if the early check in was possible. They said no, I totally understood. They sent me the check-in information 20 minutes late than the check-in time (after 3pm), and to top it all off, they sent me to the WRONG ROOM. When I called them out on this failure, the staff told me I was wrong, claiming there were no rooms with bathtubs, asking me to prove it, instead of checking the booking system. It wasn't until I sent them a screenshot of my reservation that they finally admitted their mistake. The situation only got worse from there. They demanded that I move out of the room in 15 minutes so "other guests" could check in because all the rooms were booked. This was a completely ridiculous request, especially since they were the ones who had made me late in the first place, and I was already in a massive rush to get to the airport to pick up my family.

When I returned hours later, they said that my "reserved" room was ready and they had given me a "free higher floor upgrade." This was a complete joke, as it was the exact same room from the photos I had originally booked. THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE when it is on the higher floor. The pipe under the sink was leaking so badly that every time we used it, water poured all over the floor. Since it was at midnight, no one was available to come and fix it. They tried to charge me for the foot towel I used to clean up their disgusting mess—the ONLY one I could find at midnight. They didn’t waive the charge until I explained the leaking was their responsibility.

The wifi was utterly useless for several nights in a row, and the tech guys were completely clueless on how to fix it. One of them mentioned that the building only has a single 100mbps cable shared among all the rooms. We both had to work remotely and were left completely helpless.

There were ants everywhere, green and white mold in the bathrooms. The cleaning lady even admitted it needed a "special cleaning solution," but it was never taken care of during our entire 5-day stay. They only bothered to make the bed; they didn't even have the decency to clear all the trash or clean the inside of the sink. And as if that weren't enough, the building next door is under construction, making so much noise, even on the higher floors.

In the end, their compensation was only 2-hour late check-out. They offered nothing else for the long list of issues we had to endure.

Do yourself a favor and think carefully before you even consider booking this place. *Updated: they didn’t even try to fix the issues while while we were staying there. I had all the chats and phone logs to prove the bad experience. Instead, they only responded to this review almost 1.5 months...

My boyfriend and I stayed with Livie in Da Nang last year and we were so impressed with them! When we saw they had a location in Hanoi we didn’t hesitate to book a room. This experience was definitely not as great, but it was still good. I can’t leave a review without mentioning the construction noise next door. I know it isn’t the fault of the place we’re staying but it is rough… very loud and persists from 7-5pm. It sounds like someone is drilling into the wall next to you. Luckily we only stayed 2 nights and were up and at ‘em during the day but realistically a nap wouldn’t have been an option with all the noise. The location of this hotel is wonderful, you’re close to lots of popular spots without being too close. We were able to walk to many of the places we wanted to go. Lots of yummy street food options so close by! Unfortunately during our stay the washer/dryer stopped working, it came up with E10 (Error 10) which, when we looked it up, seemed to be a mechanical issue we couldn’t address. Luckily some of our dryer cycle got done but we ended up having to back damp clothes to bring to our next destination. The bathroom is very nice and very private, the closet is spacious, the bed is pretty comfy and the “living room” space is cozy. It’s fun to sit by the large window with a coffee or snack and do some people watching. I definitely wouldn’t book again while the construction is going on. We got lucky that it worked for our situation but if we had kids or needed to sleep in late or during the day at all we’d be in a bad spot. I hope they finish up soon next door so people can enjoy Livie to...

The worst accommodation that ruined my trip. Honestly, I want to give no stars(if possible), but the room facilities are satisfactory for the price, so it is fair to give it 2 stars. The bedding is comfortable and clean. The bathroom is spacious, but there is mold here and there. The worst thing is that the construction of the building right next start from 7am to 5pm. You can't expect to sleep until late, and you can't take a nap either. It's terribly noisy intermittently all day long. They work on weekdays and weekends as well. There is no reception, and you can only receive responses through messenger. I arrived early in the morning, and wanted to leave my luggage and relax at the pool as instructed in advance. However, they didn't want to tell me the password for the gate on the first floor, and the gate was even broken. When I called the manager, she said that I could wait for about 30 minutes until the staff came to work or leave my luggage on the first floor. Would you leave your luggage in a place where no one is, and even where the gate is broken? The pool that they told in advance didn't even exist. The staff's response was the worst ever, full of lies and excuses. There are many good hotel options in Hanoi with similar price ranges. If I were you, I would never...

We had a great stay at Livie Hanoi Ham Long. The apartment was very clean, well-presented, and surprisingly spacious for the area. The layout was smart and modern, with a comfy bed, a well-equipped kitchenette (including induction cooktop, microwave, rice cooker, and washing machine), and a stylish bathroom featuring both a walk-in shower and a long, deep soaking tub—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring Hanoi. The location was ideal—within walking distance to the Old Quarter and other key attractions. Getting into the room was easy thanks to both stair and elevator access. Our host was exceptional—warm, helpful, and clearly invested in making sure the space felt like home. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches like coffee cups set out and a clean workspace with good lighting. There was some ongoing construction next door, which was a bit noisy during the early and late parts of the day, but it didn’t take away from the overall comfort and quality of our stay. Hopefully it’s completed soon. All in all, we would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a modern, comfortable apartment in a central part of Hanoi.
