Loyalty Hostel — Hotel in Hà Nội

Last week we stayed for 3 nights at the hostel in 2 rooms for our family. Nice rooms with balconies and beds for our family of 5. On Saturday we checked out for the weekend to do a 3 day 2 night Halong Bay cruise. We reserved and paid fòr the same rooms for our return to Hanoi on Monday. On Monday at 6pm after a long travel day from Halong Bay we returned to hear that the rooms we reserved ànd had paid for were no longer available. Loyalty Hostel gave our rooms up to other travellers that were going to stay longer. The desk reception showed us alternate room arrangements and hoped it would be fine. It was not fine. The superior double room with balcony we had booked and paid for was now a room with a bed that barely had space to walk around and a small window. I asked for a refund for the amount paid for the room and they only offered a portion of the price. Because it was a holiday there were no other rooms available nearby||so we decided to stay all 5 of us in the one bigger room and asked for a refund for the other smaller room they offered to us. The manager said it was a holiday weekend and the rate for the larger room was now more and that the refund for the smaller room that they gave to us was less. Even though we paid and the paper receipt clearly states the price we paid per room and the rooms we reserved, they refused to give us the full refund. Bad business. When booking our Ha Long bay trip with the booking office we received info about the type of boat they had, what was included on the tour and the category of the boat. ||But when arriving at the boat it turns out almost all of this was not what we got. ||We were told beverages were included (not alcoholic drinks) when booking the trip which is why it was more expensive. We were okay with this, but we actually had to pay for everything the whole trip when we got there.||We were also told we were booked on a 3 star boat, but that boat was definitely not a 3 star and ended up on a party cruise and not the Golden Star cruise as we were promised. ||We met great people on the trip, but needles to say we were extremely disappointed not getting what we paid for since we chose the more expensive option. ||The service in the office was so bad. Suttenly they cut not speek probably English. The guides on the boats were nice and try to help, it is the office that booked the wrong...

Do not stay here and order taxi from them. The breakfast we asked a night before was different. And the woman who brought it didnt speak any of English so it was not her problem. The shower. There was almost no water and when my husband told them,well, same woman knocked the door, entered the room, entered the bathroom where i was naked trying take this shower. Is it ok??? Taxi driver. We ordered taxi from them coz were tired of everything. Wrong. The car smelled so bad,the driver was crazy. He dropped us in the middle of the road when realised he has to drive extra 500meters without extra pay....
