Homeland River Homestay — Hotel in Hội An

This is a lovely Homestay. I stay here every year (4) for 3 months. Great value, friendly family who speak good English and offer English or Vietnamese Breakfasts, lunch and dinner on request for local prices. Eating space overlooks the river and is a lovely spot. Rooms are a good size and quiet, and beds are really comfortable and cleaned every day. Good TV with DW, France 24(English) and NHK News channels, and 6 premium English movie channels and Nat Geographic. They also hire motor bikes for a good rate, and have free bicycles to use - Hoi An is great for bikes. ||Can Nam Island is mainly occupied by local families and has only a handful of small hotels (homestays) so you hardly see any tourists, therefore not a noisy and busy area. The Old Town and markets are only an easy 5 minute walk away. Also a great Pho Bo (Beef noodle soup, a Hoi An speciality) place next door (for 20,000VND) just sit down and they serve you, open until 9am. Stay here, you wont be...

I've been staying here for around 10 days, the owners are helpful and the Homestay is very well looked after. They are around 15 minutes walk to the old city if you walk slowly and only minutes by bicycle that they provide free of charge, the rooms have air conditioning which you do need during the day when it can be 37C The hot water is great and there is a TV with several movie channels in English, They provide a breakfast if you require for a small charge. It is in quiet part of town but close enough to everything, the beach is about 20 minutes by bicycle. Great rates if you would like to stay longer and they will organize an airport pickup or drop of for 250,000 in Local currency. They do not have a restaurant as such but you can get some cooked food and something to drink if you ask. You can ask to pay with credit card or cash...

Great value for money. I stay here for 3 months for last 4 years. Owners family all speak good English, lovely people and offer good advice. Rooms are good size (again for price) and well cleaned every day, good unsuite bathrooms. Only 2 rooms have a balcony (201 & 301) TV has DW (world's best) and French 24 Hours news channels as well as 5 movie channels. Make the best tomato and onion omlettes for breakfast and really good Pho Bo restaurant next door for 20,000VND - one of the best in Hoi An from my experience.
