A really nice restaurant with very good service, overlooking the Thu Bon River, best suited for the casual tourist. It has an entry off the main road as well as one via the riverside. It is well decorated throughout with a comfortable inside dining area (and upstairs = air-conditioned) and a small, covered alfresco section. It also offers riverside dining too. Their menu is extensive, offering local HoiAn (×15 selections) and Vietnamese cuisines, along with Western food (pasta/pizza/hamburgers, etc), salads (×10) and desserts (×8). They also provide vegetarian options (×12) and many different beverages (wine/beer/spirits/cocktails/juices/soft drinks/tea & coffee). Prices are about 10-15% higher than some of the local, smaller restaurants (and quans), as to be expected with its location and riverside views, but cheaper than those in the centre of HoiAn Old Town (with an atmosphere that is much more quieter and relaxed). They were also kind enough to let me dine inside with my pet dog, as it was raining outside and the alfresco area was reserved. I only had a small but really tasty meal of Thit Nuong HoiAn (Grilled Pork on skewers with rice paper, salad, and a dipping sauce). Quality was good, size was adequate, and the pork was tender. Highly recommended if you are on the outskirts of HoiAn Old Town and looking for a snack or a proper meal. My second visit.... Just as good as my first visit. This time I had Cha Thit Heo (Fried Pork Spring Rolls) for an entree. These were good, but nothing really special. For my main meal I had Shrimp w/- Butter & Garlic. This was thoroughly delicious and was served with sliced, crusty French bread. (Note that the shrimps are whole, including the shell, head, legs and tails. This could be a bit off-putting for some, but the shells are relatively soft....and this is how you are supposed to eat shrimp in Asia.) I have since converted and eat the shrimps entirely whole (head,...
Read moreMojitos are one of my favourite cocktails and I have to say I've tried them original, passion fruit mojitos, even a strawberry mojito. BUT strawberry and lychee 😍😍😍 Lordhavemercy it was incredible. That's not to mention the food (which I obliterated before taking any photos) - I had the pork spring rolls to start and then the Chicken Pho (chicken noodle soup) and a side portion of boiled veg, and everything was top notch, really really tasty. The location - well.... see photos - right next to the river, as well as a terrace available too. You're surrounded by these fairy tale lanterns and watching lit up boats go past on the left hand side, and on the right there's a small amount of footfall if you also enjoy a bit of people watching lol.
I will definitely come back tomorrow for my last night...
