I had high expectations after all the good reviews I saw, but got really disappointed. When we arrived to check in we were told that our room had the water system broken so we had to stay at the owner’s uncle homestay for a night and could come back the day after as the system would have been fixed. That was fine by us, but as we had several heavy bags to carry, I asked if we could at least leave them in the room, she said no straight away which I found really bizarre. The next morning I got en email saying that they couldn’t fix the water system so we had to stay there another night and pay when we check out. I clearly emailed back saying that I wasn’t happy about paying somewhere I didn’t plan on staying at and asked if they had another room for us (Hoi An was really quiet and when we tried to check in we saw people checking out). They replied to come and talk to them, which we did and they surprisingly had a free room with an unbroken water system. Breakfast is okay but overpriced for what it is, had to wait 40 minutes to get two pancakes. They do laundry which is also overpriced (40k/1kg, we found 25k/1kg round the corner) and bikes rental. Even though we didn’t stay at the homestay the first night we had to pay full price, a free breakfast or a little discount would have been much appreciated. I’ll definitely look elsewhere when coming...
Read moreWhile it's called a homestay, I would say the service is as high quality and professional as a hostel/hotel, just with a more relaxed atmosphere. The owner was super friendly and gave us lots of recommendations on places to eat/visit during our stay there. The homestay provided lots of services like laundry, bike/motorbike hire for cheap, booking tours for us etc. Fast communication when we had questions. Also our double bed room was huge and strong aircon, with a really nice waterfall showerhead in the bathroom. Very good location to the old city, but still allows for a quiet and comfy night of sleep. I can't think of a bad thing to say, I would definitely come back here again...
Read moreI contacted the Homestay, Na, and got an immediate response as well as a follow up phone call. On our arrival, we had a welcome drink and then shown to our large super clean room, and nice size bathroom ensuite, including a few toiletries, etc. The breakfast was very good and there were several options. Na and her sister ensured we had enough information, provided a map with lots of info, booked tours, helped us arrange transportation to and from Hoi An and to the airport. My husband was slightly dubious about booking a homestay, but this was better than some 3/4* hotels we have stayed in. I cannot recommend this Homestay enough. Will definitely stay...
