Koniko hotel — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

If you don't want much in a room you could be able to live, and it's an ok place if you have low expatations, buy the images shown on the booking sites are just false advertising! It could have been an ok minus stay if they had told us what we got. But when they don't, it is just very annoying!

Firstly it is hard to find as the Google piont is a bit away from the place. Also did walk across it a couple of times before.we realized that this was the place behind the laundromat that is there. Nothing here reminds anything about a hotel. The frondesk is just messy and full of clothes.

Then the standard of the room is not good, it is almost impossible to lock both the bathroom and room door. Both the bathroom lock and the door security lock is long gone. It is dripping water from both the toilet and sink. And it is impossible to use shower without getting the whole room wet!

In the room the desk is so wobbly that it almost fell apart if you put something on it. Same with one of the closets. Where you couldn't close one of the doors. There is an opening in the window so mosquitoes get in! The walls are not soundproof at all so you here all the talking in the other rooms and from outside. The room had 2 safes, neither was attached to anything, so pretty useless and they didn't even work.

The only good thing is that the lady owning the place is nice and helpful when you come with problems. The laundry service is also decent and takes...

Hotel is quite, good services, good locationgood. I haven't yet checked in I'm waiting at the reception to check in, there is a woman with what seems like 4 kids, later I learnt that this lady is taking care of two kids that are not hers, which is putting a lot of pressure on the them as a family....at a certain point kids were playing and the eldest amongst them hits the little girl so hard on her back the little girl went in shock and froze next to me, I told him to stop, but he didn't listen, then he takes off his shoes to hit her, the father (later I learnt he's only a worker) came out and didn't mind seeing all that, the mother seems absorbed in her own world (probably under a lotnof pressure frlm life), I don't know why people have to see all that... The hotel is really good, clean, in a central area... I HOPE the mother (the manager) could relax a bit cause I had a five minutes chats with her, and I could see her smile which was beautiful... So certainly she is nice.. Eventually I recommend the hotel cause it's really good and because there is a mother taking care of her kids and...

Rooms same as in picture. Clean and nice rooms

Staff : very friendly, helped to book tours

Elevator : there is no elevator, but the staff helped to get my luggage to the room

Excellent location : I took bus to Cu chi tunnel and other tourist destinations from there itself. Bus station is nearby

Burger king is nearby or maybe within a small walk 🫣

Everything is nearby don't worry, just book it

Wait a min / I noticed that the flight ticket was much lower when I booked throught the hotel staff than the Google price - - I don't know how it happend, just check it

In agoda and other apps, they are asking credit card info - if you don't wanna share that, it is better you can Google chat with them and ask details and book that way - I did so

There are many travel groups around there to book tours

I found a place where they gave the best price for USD to VND, while on the walk...
