Mai Guest House — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

Very basic and not well maintained. Room was dirty, bathroom worse – low water pressure, barely warm water, and just a tiny shampoo pouch. No safe in the room. Wi-Fi was okay but shared across all floors. Receptionist seemed annoyed (we arrived late), but let us in. No breakfast offered. Impossible to park a scooter nearby. Only plus – location near Bui Vien, if that’s what you're after. But expect a lot of noise. Wouldn’t risk using the laundry service. No pool, no extras. Felt relatively safe – staff kept watch at...

Really close to the city center, and actually one of the alley of the main party road, and it is not noisy in the room. Beds and cussions are really comfortable, and clean place. And the owner is awesome and really nice, we arrived at 5am, he woke up, told us to wait an hour for an early checked in, offered us to take a shower to wait, and more nice things after that. If you are looking for a cheap place with some confort, this is the place for you.

This guest house is the best for solo budget travelers. Small rooms but neat and clean. Six stored buildings but no lift, it is really disappointing. The landlord is a chain smoker and he is smoking everywhere in his building but he does not allow smoking inside or outside of room for guests. His behaviour is a little bit rude. His beautiful wife is a very diligent and very good lady, she provides room service but not regularly. After all this guest house can be the best choice for solo...
