Mi Mi Backpackers Hostel — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

Would give this Hostel 0 stars if I could. We booked a room at their hostel in the private room, not dormitory,l via booking.com and the place was disgusting and stank (my partner compared the smell to that of rotting animals) so we decided not to stay there. He seemed to think that we should still pay to which we obviously refused and found a lovely place to stay in. I went online to find that he had found my name via Instagram, stalked my Facebook profile and decided to message people on my friends list (including my cousins who had just lost their Mum) saying we used the aircon, were in the room for an hour, I took a shower and left without paying. Why would I do that in a place that was vile? Its not like I’m living on the street and needed to shower and booking.com could see we checked in to and paid for another room elsewhere immediately after. I checked booking.com which also said there was no cancellation fee so there was no way I was going to pay this man for a 2 night stay we never had. I feared for my safety in Ho Chi Minh after this as he had photographs of me and had gone to all this trouble when I wasn't in the wrong. Completely bizarre and scary, I would avoid this place...

Wish I could make this 0 stars. Rudest staff I’ve ever come across after 3 months of staying in guest houses. Tried to overcharge and barter price that’s was already confirmed through booking.com. Very pushy with booking tours, rude once we said no as we’ve been in Ho Chi Minh a long time and already done these. Don’t speak english, just aggressively shout ‘you! you!’ and hand you handwritten notes and shake their head while you read. Wouldn’t let us leave on air con while we had dinner even though the room was boiling hot. Dog kept upstairs in tiny unfair conditions, wanted to help it escape as we could hear it crying every night and morning. Tried to rip our laundry bag out of our hands and wouldn’t take no for an answer when we stated we already have a trusted laundry place. Pushy again with tours. Demanded we check out at 10am even though it states 12pm on booking.com. was woken to bashing on our door at 10:45am yelling at us to get out. Not welcoming, not a decent price for the conditions which made my partner physically ill. Stay away,...

Le due notti in questo ostello sono state un incubo. Premetto che abbiamo già soggiornato a Saigon in un altro ostello sempre nel distretto uno che stavolta non aveva più camere, quindi posso dire di avere un metro di paragone con una struttura dello stesso tipo .||questo ostello va bene se siete interessati a droga prostitute e alcol , basta.||si trova nel Vicolo di un vicolo vicino alla strada principale con tutti i club ed i locali...gentaglia che ti ferma per massaggi e non solo ad ogni angolo, una confusione assordante.|| la hall è praticamente una stanzetta di mezzo metro quadrato ripiena di cianfrusaglie e maleodorante.|| Appena siamo arrivati le due signore che gestiscono hanno voluto i soldi e hanno provato a alzare il prezzo rispetto a quello prenotato su Booking.com!!! hanno letteralmente nascosto la nostra prenotazione sotto i nostri occhi scrivendo su un foglietto una cifra più alta finché noi non abbiamo tirato fuori quella di Booking e loro comunque provavano a rilanciare come se dovessimo contrattare!!!!||La camera era piccola e angusta e c'è stato detto di non aprire le tende o le finestre... per forza ...spostando la tenda si aveva davanti un paesaggio da baraccopoli .||Il bagno è grande meno di un metro quadrato e nelle due notti che siamo stati non ci hanno cambiato gli asciugamani o rifatto il letto o messo carta igienica neanche mezza volta.|| dulcis in fundo presa in giro finale dato che la colazione è solo Dalle 8:00 alle 9:00 e la prima mattina partendo per un tour organizzato non siamo riusciti a farla , la sera prima di partire per essere sicuri che ci fosse qualcuno ad aprirci la porta abbiamo detto che saremmo partiti per l'aeroporto alle7 ( ah dimenticavo, dopo e 23 neanche tengono più aperto, bisogna suonare da tanto è raccomandabile la zona) ci è stato chiesto dal ragazzo, l'unico che parla inglese, se volessimo la colazione. Abbiamo detto sì, peccato che poi alla mattina non ci fosse nessun accenno di colazione per la quale...
