Ohio Hotel & Apartment — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

I asked for an early check-in, they said not okay, even though it looked like there were available rooms, but that's fine, hotels don't require to provide early check-in. It'd be nice though. When I came to check-in, they gave a list of names to see which one is me, I wasn't on the list. After a while of figuring it out, they gave me the key to the room. All the rooms are open, so I mistakenly went to the room a floor below. After a couple of hours some people stormed into my room, a drunk guy jumped on my bed without trying to figure out what's going on. I got kinda mad, I didn't know at the time I went to the wrong room. Then they were like sorry sorry, wrong room. They left, but also left a bag with puke. I was like okay, then I looked at my room key, and realized I was in the wrong room. Still, when I got here, it looked like there was no one in it before, it was unlocked, so didn't look like anyone lived there before. The stuff came back, said I need to change the room. I thought, why can't they just give those people another room, but I was like, okay, it was my mistake, I'll change it. I packed my stuff, then they come back and say, don't move cause we'll have to clean the room. I was already all prepared to move... ehm... okay fine. Then these people left. I've never seen them again. I don't think they even checked-in into a different room. It looked to me like they they were friends of the stuff or owners, but I might be wrong. Other than this incident, it was fine. I mean, the booking said, there's a window with the city view, however, there was only a window to the stairs. I wanted to change the room initially, but then I heard there was construction work on the street, so I left it alone. Anyways, cause of the window to the stairs, you can hear everything, walls pretty thin too. Oh, and the booking also says, there's a bathtub, but there's only a shower. However, considering it's only 15$, that's okay. Still, the low price does not mean it's okay to put things on the booking that aren't actually there. Free washing machine was good though, and there's a kitchen. Room pretty clean. There's a fridge, but no electric kettle, water also not provided. It's okay for the price. Location is good. The incident is just kinda funny to me now. But you know....

After reading all of the reviews on Maps we were prepared for the worst😅 But turns out, this place was actually pretty decent. The location is exactly where we expected it to be ( like mentioned on google maps). The room was light and spacious; we had a balcony, hot water, perfectly working IC; hair dryer, clean, big and cozy bed; amazing view. Also, booking on Agoda, they provide a nice customer service. I asked for a room that has a window with outside view ( because many Vietnamese hotel rooms either don’t have windows or they lead to the wall) - and yes, they very politely answered and provided the room with even better facilities than just the window:) Not to forget, the price is great ( Agoda, 150k VND/night). Yes, there are some imperfections about cleanness but, as a person who travels quite for a ling time, I would say they are not to be much concerned about.

Overall, our experience was good. We stayed at a decent amount of hotels in Saigon and this is the one where we would come back🙂

I can’t sleep whole night because of the toilet smell, and my bedsheet look like did not clean properly. All the switch light are spoiled. Hotel like the scary building different with the photos advertising. We stay 2 person but give only 1 slipper shoes for the toilet. No lift for carrying out baggage’s and not suitable for the who not in good at legs. The cabinet inside smell like going to die. TV unable to open and no connection. Dusty room, smelly and spoiled shower head, when we want to shower can see my video how the water come out. Inside the toiled only one light can use. Shower gel and shampoo no smell and look like don’t know how long ready. Aunty and the what app reply lady good service, but the room and the facilities are very bad. Night time very noise from the below street, people are shouting and drinking at midnight and dawn.Don’t know why allow at Trip com and other...
