Welcome home.
Overnight Lucy and Ai became like family to me! They are some of the most friendly and accommodating of all people I have met in Vietnam and bent over backwards to ensure I and the guests had the most incredible experiences in Hue. (And it goes without saying that they had perfect English)
One small example of this is just how well connected they are in the community and able to arrange outings at a very good rate.
The first night I stayed in the 4 bed mixed dorm, which featured large single beds and offered the most comfortable night sleep I've had in my Vietnam travels. There was little room to place backpacks, but features such as bedside lockers, charging points and shelves were very welcomed.
The second night I moved to the 12 bed mixed dorm, which was more in keeping with a standard hostel. The rooms remained clean and the beds comfortable, but the larger size meant that the A/C struggled to circulate. The fans here were also a little noisy.
The bathrooms had a great character with a garden theme and were clean.
Breakfast is made to order from a selection and is delicious.
Finally it is very well located off a, but far enough away to avoid the noise, from a busy street of bars and restaurants. It is a little more distant to the Imperial City, but easy enough to get to.
But again, this is not just a hostel. This is a home! And I cannot thank Lucy and Ai enough for their efforts during my stay and after, in and...

The 12 bed dorm room was great. Beds were comfortable, you have a charger hole, big locker and a balcony for smokers or people who just wanna sit outside for a bit.
Showers and toilets were good too, no complaints there. You also can hang your stuff near the showers to dry in the sun.
You can also rent good scooters at the hostel. We rented them for a day or 3 and had no complaints there either.
You also get free breakfast every morning which is actually really tasty!
Overall experience was amazing. If I’m ever in Hué again I know exactly...
Read moreGreat Homestay with a lovely family. Eye (I hope I've spelt it correctly) is a caring and amazing woman, who goes out of her way to help you in any she can. (Site seeing, recommendations for food, bike rental and bus tickets) Initially booked to stay 3 nights but booked an extra 2 due to being bunged up with a nasty cold and cough. The dorms are clean, cool and comfortable. Highly recommended if you fancy a chilled stay in Hue. Close to the main restaurants and bars but quiet enough if you fancy/require an early night.
Never had a chance to say goodbye due to an early bus pickup. So thank you! To you, your family and your miraculous honey and lemon tea that fixed me...
