My husband and I spent three days, two nights at the Pisces Hotel. Our experience was a bit of a mixed bag - some of which was not the hotels fault but did affect our stay. The good: Absolutely wonderful staff. Very attentive and good service. Carried our bags up to our room and helped with whatever we needed. The property is gorgeous, unique and beautifully decorated. Our room had a cute boho theme. Our bed was so comfortable. Room was clean for the most part - the bathroom could have been cleaner but it wasn’t bad. The bad: I’ll start with what the hotel could control, which was that there were a couple spots where the floor in our room was smashed. We had to be mindful of those spots as they weren’t patched in anyway and were in the main walkway. The edges were quite sharp so we were worried about cutting our feet. The thing that really affected our stay, and again this wasn’t the hotels fault but there is a LOT of construction happening on multiple buildings around the hotel. Including a building directly across the alley - like we were so close we could have handed the construction workers things from our balcony if we wanted. The workers would get there very early in the morning and start hammering away and would wake us up every morning much, much earlier than we wanted to. I believe it was about 6:30-7:00 every morning they would start. By day 3 we were feeling a bit sleep deprived due to this. When we checked in they were very apologetic and said that the workers usually left by 5 every night, which they did but those early wake ups to power tools really sucked, there’s no way around it. We also felt we couldn’t fully enjoy our balcony or leave our curtains open because like I said the workers were always RIGHT THERE. Not sure what they could have done to improve this - maybe offered ear plugs on check in. Overall it was an okay stay and I feel bad to mention the construction because it’s out of their control but wanted to warn other travelers that this was a reality because we had no idea until...

This hotel is like a bad joke. I will start with the advantages: the location is great - central, but tranquil. The rest is negative. You may like the design, fine, but the quality is just ridiculously bad. No soundproofing makes you hear all the noises from the corridor. No hot water in our room - they tried to fix it with no luck. They AC is put in the wardrobe, you need to open the wardrobe to even feel it working. The water in the bathroom will stay on the floor for hours after taking a shower. Plus the bathroom walls had stains.

The service is trying to be polite, but has no clue what they are doing. First they tell us that the deluxe room we paid for is not available, because one of the guests wanted to stay longer… They offered to put us in a twin room, then they moved us after one day to the deluxe, which actually turned out be a downgrade (not hot water, really close to the lobby, no soundproofing of any kind, now real window!). When we said there was no hot water they were sending a teenage handyman 3 times, who couldn’t fix the problem and did not communicate in English. At the end they offered to move us again on the last night, which did not make any sense any longer. I would not come back here again and advise you to look for a different...

Disappointing Stay – Misleading and Uncomfortable

We booked two rooms based on the photos and description online, but the reality fell far short. The pool was significantly smaller than what was shown on the booking site, which set the tone for a stay full of letdowns.

Both bathrooms had visible mould—most alarmingly, in one bathroom, the mould was so severe it was actually dripping from the ceiling onto the person using the toilet. One of the bathrooms also had a strong sewerage smell. When we requested a room change, staff refused and instead offered a scented candle and deodorant, which was both inadequate and concerning.

While the rooms themselves were a good size, one of the air conditioners didn’t work—an issue that previous reviews had already highlighted. Rather than repair it, the hotel only supplied a small standing fan, which did little to combat the intense heat and humidity.

Wi-Fi didn’t reach our room on the third level, making it hard to stay connected. And to top it off, sleep was nearly impossible with the noise of a nearby rooster and dog going all night long.

All in all, this stay did not meet expectations. Serious maintenance and customer service improvements are needed before we could consider...
