I went into Candyverse today and upon first looking at the prices I realised this place is overpriced. I bought a sour mike and Ikes which for $4 isn’t that bad. I then bought a tiny peanut butter feastables bar which didn’t have the price tag. I got it expecting it to be $3 considering you can by full sized ones from Cole’s for $3.50. I went up to the counter to pay only for the total to come out at $11, after realizing the miniature chocolate bar was $7 I attempted to put it back only to be stopped by the shopkeeper. I tried to explain the situation but he couldn’t understand me. To avoid a hassle I bought it, so it was to my great dismay that upon opening the bar the chocolate had been melted and the soft peanut butter was dry and crumbly. outraged I tried to take it back showing the clearly moldy chocolate bar. Basically the shopkeeper said that there was still 2 weeks till its used by date and it wasn’t there fault it was feastables fault. I then had to throw out the $7 chocolate bar that I didn’t even want in the first place. Honestly, another chocolate bar as a refund would’ve been nice. Yesterday i went in because my friend recommended a dubai chocolate bar to me- meaning it has pistachio filling and the kanafeh in the middle. When i went in, there was a few different options at the counter. A mini bar for $15, and some large bars for $25. So, i asked the lady at the counter which dubai chocolate bar has the pistachio filling; I double checked multiple times with her and she picked up one of the bars and said that was the one. I paid for it, and when i went to break it in half it wasn’t even pistachio it was some chocolate filling. I didn’t even bite it, so i took it back into the store hoping for a replacement or a refund since the lady serving me had told me lies, but she told me she couldn’t do anything about it. I was very upset and angry and didn’t even like the bar i was...
Read moreI had a very nice experience at Candyverse Northbridge they have an incredible selection of American candy, sauces, drinks, cereals, and more. I was especially excited to find Altoids for $7.99, which I haven’t been able to get anywhere else in Perth and even with the small card surcharge, it was still cheaper than Amazon! The store is well-stocked, and the variety is impressive. If you’re after hard-to-find US treats at great prices, this is the place to go....
