I don’t like the crammed in style of ordering. Three small tablets all crammed in. I’ll bet if they checked the stats on which tablets did the most ordering the middle one would be less than half of the two outside ones.
I also didn’t like that I couldn’t slightly change something on those stupid less customer centric more about speed and saving money on one person serving tablets. I just wanted to change a standard menu chocolate ice cream to vanilla.
So I ordered the item with chocolate and went to the counter to ask if I can change it from chocolate to vanilla. To get the attention of one of the three staff members was difficult. Then when I did finally get one persons attention who was very clearly trying to avoid me by keeping her head down and working. (You know the type right… head is just that bit further down than is comfortable) so I yelled out…. Twice. She looks up and I ask for the chocolate and vanilla swap. If I said it was “no problem” I would be lying.🤥 it was a problem. Here is what came back “Your name?” I replied with my name. “Okay” is what came back. No repeating the name and what I wanted, just “okay” so I thought, well, if it comes over without vanilla ice cream I’ll send it back.
All good, came with vanilla ice cream. My wife and I ordered the same thing except she kept the chocolate ice cream because she didn’t want to make a fuss. Later my wife said to me, she wishes she had gotten the vanilla change because it was much better. The chocolate was over powering.
The food was good, the atmosphere was okay, if you take out the non customer centric tablets and the staff that avoid eye contact, it would have been 5 stars all the way.

Read moreMy partner and I visited Whisk last night (a follow up visit to a previous occasion that we had enjoyed) but left really disappointed. My partner received his order and had finished before I had even received mine. Ordered Pav in a cup, the cup was too small for all the mango sorbet in it, plus the small amount of ingredients that was supposed to make it a pav. Tiny amount cream on bottom, mountain of sorbet took up rest of cup with some strawberry slices poked in side with some couli sitting on them, and the meringue sitting on top. Size of cup and the amount of sorbet just about made it a nightmare to eat. To make it a pav experience its nice to be able to get a bit of each ingredient to eat together. Didnt happen couldnt reach cream on bottom, the mountain of sorbet made it impossible, strawberry slices poked in side of sorbet were frozen and hard to eat and the meringue piece on top just wanted to fall off. There really wasnt anything pav about it. Left half the sorbet in the cup. Tables could have been given a wipe as well. So not a happy customer...
Read moreI gave this place 3 stars. Personally I just find these places a little overrated. The pricing is steep and it's not desserts I'd probably write home about, it was nice but didn't quite hit the mark for me. I will admit though, the balance of the sorbet and cream at the bottom was a great touch to that menu item. I think it really needed the cream to balance it so thats good.
If im honest the place could also use a little sprucing up to adjust the atmosphere to somewhere you'd want to sit and enjoy life go by, the lighting and feel gave more of a servo/late night drunk vibe to it. I know you're in Northbridge but I think making it a more intimate soft vibe would attract more people. Again, just my personal opinion as i know alot of people do really enjoy the place. ❤ We had the pavlova & the one with Nutella...
