Recently reopened (12/4/2025) after renovation. Venue : Modern decoration. But, a lot of crumbs on the chairs. The floor was dirty. Noisy. Wobbly tables. --- 6.9/10 Service: Choatic. Need training. Lack of communication. Not attentive. Just brush all crumbs off the tables when cleaning the tables. No one came to take orders at the tables. So we ordered and paid at the front desk first (usually for outdoor dining). Need to ask for tap water and glassess separately. Acceptable waiting time for food. But, I asked for condiments for photo for 3 times in 10 minutes (1: when pho was served - no response; 2: asked the waiter - he gave me bean sprouts, chilli, and lemon; 3: asked a waitress for basil - she didn't understand at first, I pointed to next table - then she gave me basil). Some tables don't have enough options of sauces. You can get the sauces from a self-service counter near the window (I found that when I was leaving). --- 6/10 F&B: basic presentation. Normal portion of food. Small portion of beverages. Prices elevated. Three colors che wasn't available, but it's very basic in many Vietnamese restaurants. I saw other Che samples at the front desk. All of them were smaller in a portion than other restaurants but higher prices. Iced Avocado Coffee, $ 9.5: Mild flavor of avocado. Xiu Mai Meatballs with Baguette, $15: There were 3 meatballs and mince in sauces. Baguette was crispy. --- 7/10 Pho Special, $19: there were medium rare beef, brisket, 4 half-cut beef meatballs, and good portions of beef tripe. --- 7.2/10

Pay at the front desk --- 7.5/10 Food: normal presentation. Normal portion. Reasonable price. Pho Dac Biet, $17: normal aroma of pho soup. There are raw beef, brisket, beef meatballs, cooked beef, and triple. Small piecs of triple and raw beef. Beef was tender. Not much brisket. Soup was the same as usual. Bean sprout, basil, and chilies were fresh. --- 7.3/10 Pork Ba Minh, $9.5: not the menu booklet, available on the website and takeaway counter. Crispy bugette. Options of chilies. Had Pâté spread inside. --- 7.3/10 Fresh Coconut fruit, $7.5: unable to eat the coconut flesh. Saigon Iced Black Coffee, $7: with...
Read moreIf you are craving authentic Vietnamese cuisine in Perth, look no further than the Vietnamese restaurant located in the heart of Northbridge that is open 24x7 hours called U&I.
From their delicious broken rice to their flavourful pho, this restaurant is a true gem for food lovers seeking an unforgettable dining experience.
The restaurant has a cozy ambiance with plenty of tables both inside and outside the premises.
One of the standout dishes at this restaurant is their Com Tam, or broken rice. Served with a portion of grilled meat (such as pork, chicken, or beef), pickled vegetables, and a fried egg, the com tam is a burst of flavours and textures. The Com Tam I ordered tonight has a slightly smaller piece of pork than usual. Hopefully have a better luck next time. The broken rice has a unique, slightly sticky consistency that pairs perfectly with the tender and flavourful grilled pork. The pickled vegetables add a tangy crunch that balances out the dish, and the fried egg adds a rich creaminess that brings it all together. The soup came with the rice is delicious as well. It is a must-try dish that will leave you craving for more.
Another highlight of the menu is their pho. We ordered the beef pho tonight. This classic Vietnamese noodle soup is made with a fragrant and aromatic broth that's been simmered for hours, resulting in a depth of flavour that's simply irresistible. The tender slices of beef, along with the silky rice noodles, fresh herbs, and tangy lemon create a unique taste in your mouth. Satay chicken skewers are great.
In addition to the delicious food, the fact that this restaurant is open 24x7 is a definite plus for people working odd hours shift to get a meal at anytime.
The waitresses are friendly to customers but can be more attentive to request. Serving of the food is fast as we didn't have to wait too long.
It is a worth visit for anyone craving authentic Vietnamese...
Read moreWe had a very uncomfortable experience at this café and felt we were treated unfairly despite doing our best to be respectful and cooperative.
Our group came in and started ordering drinks while one of us was already in line to order food, which was part of their policy (order food before drinks) — fair enough, and we were already doing that.
We had been drinking, and our cousin was trying to sober up. She was quietly laying her head down at the table, not causing any disruption. Staff came over and told us she couldn't sleep there, which we understood, and we tried to wake her. Later, when food arrived and she seemed drowsy again, they told us we had to leave, even though we were eating and trying to handle the situation responsibly.
Unfortunately, she ended up feeling sick and vomited slightly near our table. We cleaned it up ourselves and even offered to mop it properly, but instead of accepting our help or handling it calmly, the staff were rude, saying things like "now I have to clean that up myself" and insisted we leave immediately.
We understand they have policies and responsibilities under their license, but the way we were spoken to — with little compassion or professionalism — made the whole situation worse. There was no aggression or bad behavior on our part, just an unfortunate situation that could have been handled more...
