I passed by this Veggiezz location while looking for coffee and/or breakfast and upon seeing the entirely vegan menu with plenty of gluten-free options, I made a mental note to come back for either lunch or dinner. Later that day, I was able to come back for dinner and was seated inside the restaurant but right at the open wall to the sidewalk, so it felt like I was eating outside on the warm, summer-like spring evening I was there.

It's rare to have so many vegan & gluten-free items to choose from, and it was especially surprising in Vienna. But it seems there are quite a few other Veggiezz locations in Vienna, and a couple elsewhere in Austria. I almost couldn't decide what to get, but I ended up getting the Crunchy Quinoa Power Bowl, which had leeks, red cabbage, green asparagus, courgettes (zucchini), quinoa, orange mustard sauce, with roasted nuts, seeds & cilantro. It was delicious, and so refreshing to have something a little different from what you might typically find at a vegan place. I really enjoyed the orange mustard sauce. And the quinoa, roasted nuts, and seeds really made it a filling meal (one that I couldn't finish!).

I just wish they had a dessert or two that was vegan AND gluten-free. (Their desserts are only vegan.) Alas, I couldn't eat more at the time anyway.

Service was fine and seating was comfortable, though perhaps a tad bit cramped, but...

The concept is good. I asked the waiter if a dish was gluten free, he was very nice, helpful and accommodating and told me the kitchen could prepare the dish I wanted gluten free. They have an open kitchen. Shortly after my order, I heard the kitchen staff shouting at the waiter loudly, putting him down verbally and demanding why he offered me that dish gluten free. It was very unprofessional and I felt uncomfortable because I brought the kind waiter in that situation. I worked in gastronomy myself and it is very unprofessional to shout in front of guests when you have an open kitchen. It ruined the entire atmosphere for me and it was even my birthday that day. I was looking forward to having a nice, peaceful meal with my partner. The big waitress lady proceeded to put down the kind waiter outside at the terrace area, pointing out his mistakes loudly. It was uncalled for and once again, unprofessional.

I'm guessing Veggiezz has been sold to other owners as it wasn't like this before there, ever.

Horrible experience. Will never go to this one again and I hope that nice waiter finds a better job where they respect him and...

It’s not often one goes to a restaurant and finds themselves inspired to put even more effort into their own food. I like cooking, a lot, especially vegetarian dishes. The unpretentious yet ultimately confident way this place delivers really made me think how I could “upgrade” my habits. Everything is vegan, but has such a homely and passionate quality that it feels at once within reach and also admirable.

The service was polite and timely, without too much interruption but with warm smiles when we needed anything. Soft music in the background provided a lovely bed of noise over which we could easily speak. And the food was perfect. Every dish had at least one little surprise, and I’d say the only thing was that sometimes there was less salt than I’d have liked - probably my own and other restaurants fault for over-indulging. In the grand and sometimes pompous Vienna, this place is a breath of “real” air, and I’d say anyone would enjoy a lunch or a dinner here, regardless of their accustomed diet....

The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. Burger, fries, soda, latte and sauce add on for fries was €22. I wouldn't mind the price if the service was decent; it wasn't, a bit pretentious and very indifferent. Zero eye contact, murmuring when taking your order, not welcoming vibe. Maybe the dude wasn't having a great day. The burger was the typical dry Patty, cocktail sauce, and huge (also dry) buns that seemed to hide flavor from other ingredients. The best part of the meal was the sweet potato fries. They weren't dry, hot and flavorful. I would return to a restaurant that had mediocre food and amazing customer service. This place though, was as mediocre as it gets. Lastly, very uninspired menu; burger, wraps, vegan steak, vegan sausage, and avocado spring rolls. If you're vegan, chances are you make better food at home. If you're not vegan, just go grab a regular burger and avoid the dissatisfaction. (As I chose a photo to upload I realized that the cheese also had zero flavor)

The food was okay, all quite fresh and well presented, but lacking in flavour - I've had better veggie burgers from the likes of Swing Kitchen, and even in some local pubs where the "Impossible" patty was on offer. The menu is a little confused - there are fixed options for wraps, burgers, bowls, etc, but you can also make your own, so have a look before you go in to make sure you aren't getting lost. Charging for sauces and giving them out in tiny cups looks bad for a sit-down dining experience such as this. Drinks were small too, and quite pricey, but looked like there were some decent cocktails on the menu. On a more positive note the staff were really nice and the service was super fast. I would eat here again but I think there are currently better options at the same price point or lower nearby, so I won't be in a rush.
