Dissappointing. After a not so pleasant experience at another Thai Express location I decided to give this location a try. I was equally, if not more, disappointed. I asked for âeat-inâ for one of my orders and take-out for the other but they put both orders in a tiny take-out box each. When I mentioned âThis one is for eat inâ the proper thing to do would be to transfer the order to a paper plate, or, even better, re-make my order as requested. But the person just gave me a blank look. It was very difficult to eat the dish I ordered out of a tiny take-out container. I had a gift card I wanted to use but was told âOur gift card system is not working right now.â They can see the value of my gift card. If they really valued my business, they would apply the equivalent credit to my order. On top of all this, the food was terrible. The chicken was very fatty and rubbery and did not taste good at all. I ended up discarding most of it and there wasnât very much to start as this location does not give generous portions. The pieces were too big to cut in a tiny box. I was very disappointed and not satisfied with my meal. So much so that I purchased my lunch from another vendor in the Food Court where the food and service were both exceptional. Thai Express, you have really disappointed me.
Answer to Response from owner: I completed the detailed feedback form and just wasted my time. Thai Express replied asking for my receipt which I promptly took a picture of and sent in. A full month later and I still have not received a response. I thought Thai Express would at least offer to refund my purchase cost. They know the exact amount I paid since I sent them the receipt. Against my better judgement, I decided to give them another try since I still have a balance on my gift card I was not able to use on my last visit. Itâs been a full month and their gift card redemption system is STILL not working. However, instead of making a purchase on my credit card this time, I just purchased my meal at another place in the Food Court. I refuse to support their deceptive and unethical business practices. Iâm convinced that Thai Express is more concerned with profits than customer service and I make it a point to avoid such businesses. I strongly recommend you do the same. Stay away from...
Read moreI was a regular at this location pre-covid, the staff all knew me, knew my order and it was my go-to. This seems to be new ownership/management and although the service is fine/friendly, the prices have gone up significantly, which sure has happened everywhere, but now they even charge $1.20 for extra sauce, which is egregious, not to mention every single time I ask and pay for it itâs nowhere near âextraâ. They also charge over $4 for extra chicken, again not much extra definitely not to the value Iâm paying. Unfortunately the old management at least made the food great and was worth the $16 I used to pay. Now itâs $21.50 and the quality is worse and quantity is less too, Iâve gone 7-8 times under the new management to give it a fair chance but itâs been disappointing for the cost. Hope they work on improving quality and value for money, Iâll be a happy customer even at current prices if I at least get...
Read moreAs a fan of Thai foodâespecially Pad See EwâI make it a point to try this dish at every Thai restaurant I visit. Unfortunately, this was by far the worst Pad See Ew Iâve had anywhere in the Greater Vancouver area. I couldnât even finish half of it and ended up throwing it away.
The meat was clumped together in thick layers of three, completely unseasoned on the inside, had a bad smell, and was so tough I had to spit some of it out. The noodles were covered in burnt crumbsâmost likely from the panâand were so bland they had almost no flavor at all. The vegetables felt more like scraps than actual ingredients.
I was genuinely hungry but still couldnât bring myself to eat more than a few bites. Total...
